Shut off the water. Disconnect & check the BOTH water supply hoses at the MACHINE to check for obstructions / kinks / etc: Check for and clean any strainer / filter on the hoses and inlet to the washer. Direct the hoses into a tub or other container and turn water ON. make sure you have water flow from BOTH hoses and that one is HOT and the other is COLD. If OK, reconnect to machine. Turn water back ON. Choose a WARM wash.
If you get COLD only, you probably have a bad HOT solenoid - if HOT only you have a bad COLD solenoid. Be sure by:
Shut water off and swap hose connections (hot to cold & cold to hot) and try again.
If you get COLD only, you probably have a bad COLD solenoid - if HOT only you have a bad HOT solenoid. If you get HOT only, you probably have a bad COLD faucet / hose - if HOT only you have a bad COLD faucet / hose.
Hi, You have a mixer inlet valve going bad. I tried the model # and it doen't show up. Can you check the # one more time please and I will get you part # and how to replace the valve.
Need to replace the inlet valve assembly. Dont know what make or model it is, but the part is relativly cheap, and the job is not that hard. Just getting in the cabinet to replace is the hardest part. With many different models, would need to know what model you have to get you in the cabinet.
does the cold and hot shut off at med. and high?it sounds like your cold water valve solinard is sticking and needs to be changed,(very easy fix,let me know more-mike
All washing machines have a solenoid valve for turning on and shutting off the water coming in, one for the hot water and one for cold. It sounds like one of them has a slow leak.
Try shutting off the cold water supply to the machine for a day and see if the tub fills with water. Next try shutting off the hot water supply and leaving the cold supply on. This will tell you which valve is leaking.
This solenoid valve is something you can buy from an appliance parts company. In some cases, someone handy may even be able to disassemble it and replace a washer that is leaking.
Until it is repaired, you can get by with shutting off the water supply when you are not using the machine or shutting off the supply that is leaking. For example, if it's the hot water supply valve that is leaking, just shut off the hot and do only cold water washing.
