Picture only on a short cable

We lost picture to the monitor. Checked everything out. Brought the camera in for bench testing and it works on a 3' cable, but when hooked back up to a 150' coax, using 12vdc, there is no picture. Is there a driver in the camera that drives the picture over long distances?
