Question about Kodak EasyShare DX3900 Zoom Digital Camera

1 Answer

I have a Kodak DX3900 camera from 1999 or so. I just took some photos that I need for work immediately. I've discovered that the memory card is crazy big and won't fit into any of the devices here at work, and the standard cords for USB we have don't fit either. How do I get photos off this thing???

Can I recover the pictures on a kodak easysh are CX6230

If you want to maximize chances of Kodak camera files recovery, the first thing you should do is immediately stop taking more photos or videos (with your current digital camera) in case partial files are overwritten.

Then take the memory card out and use a card reader to connect the camera (memory card) to a PC or Mac which has install a data recovery tool, check this site Digital Camera Recovery for a list of good and tested recovery software.

Hope you good luck! Merry Christmas!

Accidentally deleted a video from my Kodak C180. Can I retrieve it? I haven't pulled out the memory card yet.

Yes, you can recover deleted files from camera with camera recovery program like asoftech data recovery
http://www.asoftech.com/adr/

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Next" and wait for it to do it's magic.

A person accidently deleted four years of photos from my camera. Is there any way to retrieve them?

Yes there is. Take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones:

Kodak DX3900 camera can't get power from battery

Remove the batteries and clean the battery contacts inside the camera with a soft cloth (a heavy buildup on the contacts may require cleaning with a fine wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that the cleaning leaves in the camera, and then reinstall the batteries. This clears most power-on problems, but if yours persists, check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:

Camera starts, then immediately shuts off

I took out the card.
Erased the photos on the built-in memory (after making sure they were copied to my computer.)
Replaced the card.
Voila!
Took some photos and it turned off when I wanted.
I wonder if it will last, or if it is a fluke.
Try it.
