Yes, its a do-it-yourself deal. They have fuel line kits at Home Depot and at the small engine shops. They use what they call "tygon" lines now. Remove old lines. One of them should have an in-tank fuel filter on the end. You can use needle nose pliars or even twezers to reach into the tank to grab. The fuel lines themselves seal the holes in the tank. No sealant is used. Cut new lines long and angle cut an end. Start that cut end thru the hole in the fuel tank and push it in slowly until there is enough to grab. Cut filter line lone enough so that it will move around on far side of tank, then put fuel filter on its end. The other line you shove into the tank will be pulled back thru and cut to a length aboutm 1/2" or should have some type of little nylon connector on its fuel tank end to hold it in the tank . Good luck. Please vote on this solution.

Spear & Jackson 33cc Petrol Grass Strimmer SGT33N, black fuel pipe split. How to replace it?

empty the petrol, feed the black line (the fuel intake) into the tank and grab the end of it thats attached to the filter inside the tank. now you can feed a new fuel line through into the tank and reattach to the filter. hopefully this will solve your problem ive just done this but mine still wont start, either flooded or spark plug. by the way i bought mine new and the fuel line was split.

My Homelite XH2XS-0254RA Trimmer gas lines have broken off inside the gas tank, can replacement parts be obtained

Hi carlfreeland...
Yes, your fuel lines can be replaced, be sure to get the right size to fit your machine.
Go to your parts supplier with the model/serial number and manufacturer of your weedeater.
Most of the time there will be two size fuel lines, the bigger one is the one the fuel filter inside your tank is connected to.

I have recently purchased a line trimmer split shaft(hbc26sjsnb) and it will not start>Only way I can get it to fire is to dip spark plug in fuel ,but then it fires up but will not run - do I take...

This is a common problem for home owner machines rated for 50-75 hours of use. Is this Homelite "brand new" never used or is it brand new -only run a few hours? most machines will develop a problem after 30-60 days when sitting with fuel in them. This is because the 10% Ethanol in most cities leeches polymer strands out of the fuel system and combines them with the moisture of the air and oil in the fuel. This makes for a sticky white substance that blocks passage ways and sticks one way valves open. My fix is to purchase a $20 jewelry cleaner at a local tool shop and clean the carburetor (located behind the air filter) make sure your fuel lines have not been affected or damaged by the Ethanol and put the machine back together.
Using a high quality oil such as Stihl Ultra Oil can help prevent problems. You can also purchase fuel premix with no Ethanol through shops like
Good luck

I have a husqvarna 255r brushcutter, my son put wrong mix when petrol changed to unleaded and the 2 stroke oil, we have it 5 yrs used on 4 TIMES oooh ...but anyway told pistons gone, son and h/band not...

Unless really trashed you can simply replace the piston, and re-bore/resleeve the cylinder, that will cost much less.An competent motor bike, or lawnmower repair shop should be able to do that for you, that way you could get a "Kit" online, and simply do that.
