Thanks for your suggestions, however I've already checked the ribbon cnnectors. P.S.- tip
you gave me last week regarding a Sharp AQUOS with dark, negative picture was not correct.
I replaced the Video module and still the same dark pix. Suspect that to be the panel also.

I assume that you have checked the Y and Z -sus boards and they are ok. Yes most likely the panel itself is dead, but its possible that the ribbon connectors to the panel are faulty.

2 faulty plasma panels in a week ? I barely encounter one a trimester. But it's possible. The only way i know to test for that is to replace them with a good working one.

You have bad capacitors on the Power supply board. I have included a picture of what they look like. It's not an expensive repair. This pix is not your board, just what the capacitors will look like.

I have a 50 inch Samsung, Model FPT5084X/XAA that won't turn on.

Do not bother replacing the whole power supply for just a few well known bad capacitors on it!
Just get quality ones (both better quality *and* higher breakdown voltage) and you won't have this problem ever again...well at least for sure not before a tons of other issues.

I've seen this problem before, would need your model #, meanwhile is your picute bounce when you hit the if pack, or pip module, if it does that were your problem is. these or your silver cassing, standing upward.
