Hi

If your dryer is not heating, then check if the power cord is plugged into the wall. It may be loose or disconnected. Inspect the fuses and circuit breakers they may have burned out or tripped. Usually, dryer will still tumble but not create heat if a fuse or a circuit breaker is not working. Now, check whether the heating element in your gas dryer is burned out by using an ohm meter to check for continuity. If the continuity is not there then you would need to replace the element. After checking the element, check out the thermal fuse to see if it's burned out. The thermal fuse is attached to the exhaust duct on the back panel of the gas dryer. It's usually surrounded by a black resin material situated in a housing made of white plastic. If the fuse looks like it's blown, then it needs to be replaced.
Now, check the igniter, there is a plastic connector attaching the igniter to the burner. Disconnect this and place the probes onto the two contacts of the igniter. The meter should read under 100 Ohms of resistance. If the reading is above 100 ohms then igniter is bad. If the igniter passes the test then you need to test continuity on the flame sensor. You should have continuity between the two contacts. If not, then you need to replace the flame sensor. The sensors are usually located close by the igniter so are easily visible. Hope this helps...

Why does my car start most of the time, but not all the time?

Are you sure it has spark, next time no start condition happens try spraying some starter fluid in throttle body and see if it starts.
I say this because if your fuel pump is weak and failing the jiggling of the car when you move it could cause a weak pump to work.

How do i change the starter

3 bolts hold and align starter with the flywheel of your transmission...be sure to disconnect a battery terminal first to eliminate sparks...starter/solenoid is one piece, try looking at one at your auto parts store first...Hope this helps.

Intermitten Shift Problem

There is a release which is suppose to allow for the shifting of gears only when your foot is on the Brake. The switch is on the brake pedal lever and is suppose to be aligned so that the starter solenoid, the gearshift, and the Ignition switch are aligned.

Some manufacturers protect against lurching by preventing starter engagement, some by requiring a foot on the brake pedal, and some do both.

As for being intermittent, the switch may be loose, the Ignition switch misaligned, or the shift cable stretched. Sometimes with a Tilt wheel, the alignment flexes.

Please rate my info.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN , DOES IT TURN OVER, IF SO CHECK TOSEE IF YOU HAVE SPARK AT THE PLUGS IF YOU DO THEN CHECK THE FUEL PRESSURE IF YOU HAVE FUEL PRESSURE . CHECK THE FUEL INJECTERS WITH A NOYED LIGHT TO SEE IF THEY HAVE A CURRENT FLOW OR ELECTRIC.IF IT DON'T TURN OVER CHECK BATTERY, OR BATTERY CONECTIONS OR STARTER.

Car wont move

When you insert the key in ignition switch to start the car does the car cranks or make the starting noise. If not then this is low voltage or faulty battery related problem. But if its making this starting noise and not getting started then its starter related issue.Either the starter is faulty or battery to starter connection is loose or got short in between. But if the starter and battery both are functioning properly but car is not moving then the brake can be the issue. Is the brake light coming on when you press the brake pedal. If the brake light is not coming o when you press the brake pedal then its faulty brake switch. It has to be checked and replaced. Also there are many other possibilities but this can be the start for troubleshooting.

I HAVE A 97 F250 7.3 DIESEL. THE STARTER IS NEW BUT WHEN I TRY TO START IT IT SOUNDS LIKE THE STARTER IS KICKING IN AND TURNING BUT THE MOTOR IS NOT TURNING. WOULD THE GLOWPLUG RELAY CAUSE THIS?

Don't think so. It sounds like the starter is mis-aligned and not engaging the flywheel. When the starter spins, the gear on the end is supposed to move out and engage the flywheel. Sometimes the springs are bad or there is too much friction on the spiral shaft, but if this is a new starter, more than likely it is mis-aligned.

Hi
Take the spark plug out and pour a little bit of oil in the cylinder and crank it over without the spark plug in. Make sure ground wire is clean on both ends.
