Question about Epson Stylus Multifunction Inkjet Printer/ Copier/ Scanner
I would venture a guess that probably you both had the cartridge refilled. That is probably why there is air inside the cartridge. In effect a tiny air bubble acts like an air dam. You can try doing a lot of nozzle cleaning. There is a chance it flush out the air. Since is doing partial printing, chances are the bubble is not inside the printhead. So hopefully the flushing should solve both your problems. If it doesn't I'll refer you to a site where you can see the video of how to flush out the air. Also make sure you turn off your printer on the printer's power switch and not the AVR or power strip. This is sometime a cause for the blockage and sometimes it is also causes ink to dry up on the print head causing another kind of blockage.
