Question about Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition

1 Answer

Artisan62 Pagebor, thanks a million mate, i just replied to PauldLucky who came back to me with options, but although good one's I'm still having no luck and i did try reloading disc and setting the BIOS but it made no difference and the options to fix do not come up. Funny thing though i looked at a Microsoft webpage given to me from Paul and it had a peice about this very problem of downloading a multiple queue of media files all at the same time and corrupting files, specificly using NVIDIA n Force, which it was i have. I don't know if its the same version but the events leading up to this problem relate exactly. Well due to my lack of understanding and rising blood pressure i'm going to leave it to those that know, so tomorrow me and PC are off to the shops and it'll go under the knife, Ouch! Thanks anyway good advice and help is always appreciated, especially by moi' I'm still glad i found this site its been educational it's the Biz! Artisan62

Dell inspiron stuck welcome screen start

Hi sugi!

When you have experienced this the first time, what you need to do is restart your computer to the Windows Advanced Boot Options* then choose Last Known Good Configuration by pressing your up/down arrow key to highlight it then press Enter. If this option did not work for you, restart your computer again to Windows Advanced Boot Options*, but this time choose Safe Mode. Once in safe mode, perform system restore by following the steps provided by Microsoft thru this link.

I hope this works for you. Kindly reply/comment for further assistance. Good Luck!

When I send from my xxx@yahoo.com address, the recepient sees the sent address, but when they hit reply, the address in their TO line is xxx@ymail.com which does not direct back to me but to someone...

Open you yahoo mail page Go to options at the top right and select 'mail options' Then click on Accounts from the list on the left side. Then click on "Yahoo Mail"(middle of page under 'Accounts') Click on "reply to" settings. Erase everything on that line..(yes, leave it blank) and then click Save changes at the top of page.
This will default your reply address to your own.

What is product key of windows vista

I have a similar experience... Windows vista is installed machine-based, meaning you can install vista millions of times to one machine but not to any other machines. Although you lost product key, do not worry. Call Microsoft customer service and make sure to tell him you have only one computer your vista copy is installed. Then he will give you another valid product key.

as the hard drive have movable parts it will fail one day.
If you defragement your hard drive monthly then it will take good care of your hard drive.
As the inspector is saying you should be ready for failure of your hard drive and you should back up your data.

Can't get a connection back on my ISP (embarq).

If you have dial-up, go to tools>internet options>click "always dial my default connection" or if you have broadband click on "Never dial a connection" These settings are found in Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or higher.
