Windows is full of viruses and they are grabbing all the processing power. Just reinstall and next time use a much better antivirus like Avast.

Can not connect to internet using my acer notebook and have no icon to click on to

Hi richard g le...

Left click on Start and look at the top of the pop open window, you should see "Internet Explorer, you can double left click on that and connect to the internet.
Also if you left click on it and hold the mouse button down you can "Drag and Drop" the internet icon on your desktop where it will be an icon on your desktop and you can connect to the internet whenever you click on it.
Please take time to rate me

If the Intel ProSet application has an icon on the bottom-right of your "system-tray" (the system-tray has the START button on the left and the clock on the right), then right-mouse-click on that icon, and choose 'exit' or 'close'.

How do I fix the size of my icons and make the internet fit to size

How to resize Vista desktop icons

One of the complaints I hear about the Vista GUI is that "the icons are too big." Well, fixing that is a simple matter. Here's how:

Right click an empty space on the desktop.
Select View.
Click Classic Icons.

Another way is to use the scroll wheel on your mouse or trackball. With the cursor on the desktop, press and hold the CTRL key and scroll the wheel to make icons larger or smaller.

I hope someone having that problem will read this thread.
Cheers!

Normal 0 Try disconnecting the camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD software program that came with the mouse. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work. Hope this helps. Bud

The Internet Explorer issue could be a lot of different things, but the first thing I usually look at when someone has an IE that's acting flaky is whether or not they have a bunch of toolbars and add-ons installed.

Are you using IE 7.0? If so, go to Tools --> Manage Add-Ons --> Enable or Disable Add-Ons

Disable all toolbars.

If you aren't using IE 7.0, try upgrading to IE 7.0.

As far as the mouse issue... do you have an external mouse that you're using, or are you using the touchpad that's located below the spacebar? Sometimes people that are using a separate mouse forget to turn the touchpad off, and accidentally brush it with their hand, causing the mouse cursor to jump around or activate an icon and such.

try holding down the fn key and look for a blue icon of a keyboard and or mouse usually these icons are under the F keys but I can't find a close up pic of one so I can't say where it is for sure. This will toggle enable and disable for the mouse and keyboard.

Have you tried checking the pointer's speed in control panel. mouse icon, pointer options ? Usually when you have different speeds it's because games work differently than Windows does. Check that first. If that does not work, see if there is anything obstructing/pressing against the mouses' cable.
