Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Since you are facing multiple issues. I suggest you perform a system restore to an earlier date. There are two ways to perform system restore:
Open start menu click run and then type cmd to open command prompt.
Type CD.. to make c:\ only.
Type CD windows then CD System32 and then restore.
After once you find yourself in c:\ windows\system32\restore>
Then type restrui.exe press enter.
Once the system restore window open then click next to select any available restore point.
This process shall take couple of minutes to perform restore and please make sure that once this process started it wont be reversible and neither you will lose any personal data.
Other way to perform system restore is to open safe mode by clicking F8 on start-up and check safe mode option then further a dialogue box will open to ask for system restore and then follow the above steps.

Regards
David

If you did something to corrupt the software, then try resetting the machine using system restore. If you can't access the system restore start windows in safe mode. That should allow you to access it.

Possible corrupt operating system. The cause of corrupt operating system is Windows file corrupted or virus infected Windows.

Solution corrupt Windows files:
1. START - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Recovery Options - System Restore (restore to the date when the OS is still normal)
2. START - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Recovery Options - System Image Recovery (restore using a backup system that you created)

Solution files corrupted due to virus infected windows
Update anti-virus and virus scan (if the virus is detected, the primary action = repair, secondary action = quarantine). Then repair the operating system with System Restore or System Recovery Options.
Note:
If the operating system infected with virus (virus infected not long ago), the best solution is to use System Restore. Restore to a date when the windows are still normal.

How do I restore Windows Vista?

Hello,

If your restore function is not corrupt, you can do this:

Program>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore - Once there, you can select the option to restore Vista back to day one. Depending on your model of pc, you can restore the system back to factory settings, consult your oowners manual for more details as I do not know your model number.

Good Luck

Windows 32 is corrupt

Try to start on SAFE mode. If you can do that, then try to backstep with the restore function found in accesories, system tools, restore. Use a restore point that is back a month or so.

if you have a windows cd you can do a system restore from it or at the boot screen some computers have a system recovery so you can use system restore without a disk, if you can use system restore, restore your computer to a earlier time and that should solve your problem
