Reset forgotten password

Go to the Computer store and ask a technician to clear the password for you. A CD called PowerSuite is a powerful UTILITY disk that can Boot Up from the CD/DVD drive when starting the computer. It has its operating system on the CD and starts by itself. A Utility programs on that disk will allow you to search the hard drive for all passwords and give you the option to Clear the Password. Once you cancel out the existing password, the computer will start up normally for there on in. Just don't use a Password. Remember to remove the CD before restarting the computer or else you will go back to the Power Suite program again.

Reset bios password

Hi, its very easy to reset password for bios.

You have two methods to rest on two different conditions.

First if you want to re-set in normal mode and a second thing if you have forgotten the password.

First of all enter into Bios Setup then Security and Reset your password.

Second if you have forgotten your password and you need to reset without power on your computer take these steps;

1. Uncover your computer
2. See a jumper near to hard connector. This jumper sets on two legs total of three and one leg free.
3. Changer jumper side ... It sets on free leg and then one leg will free.
4. Now, starts on your computer, it will give you a message. Now follow the message and accept changes for Bios and press enter.
5. Once again switch off your computer.
6. Reset jumper on the same place and cover your computer again.
7. Start your computer enter into Bios without any password. Now you can set your password from security tab again.

Wish you Good Luck

My gateway start up screen asking for user name and password.wat an i put

You have to insert your user name and password in order to log in. If you have forgotten this you have to either find out what it is or redo the install again sometimes you can use default passwords from the company or some crack software that will remove this. It is a pain to have this happen again it is important to remember these or do not use passwords period if this keeps happening. You may have to reinstall the Operating System again that is the easiest way to do remove this. Then start fresh, John

If you are sure you have the correct password, I would start with changing your user name that you are signing in with. Sometimes yahoo seems to want the "@yahoo.com" with the user name, and sometimes it does not.

If adding or removing the "@yahoo.com" part of the user name doesn't help, go through the "forgotten user name and password" steps.
