No problems with the CD/DVD drives just the pioneer CDi200 Ipod adapter cable. I have a 4gb ipod nano
the unit recognizes the ipod, the appropiate screen comes up with a ready message, after about 30 seconds ready message is replaced with
ERROR AO. The touch screen functions like playlist artist, etc are inoperative

- Hi;
The Pioneer firmware fixes aren't applicable. I found out from another source that Apple is to come out with a downloadable firmware fix. The newest ipod nano isn't completely compatible with some gear. I bought another 2 year old nano ipod locally off of Kijiji and the problem is solved, works great.
Try using a universal dock attached to the AVIC N4 and the ipod jack right into the universal dock. Hopefully that should work..
Or try THIS from Apple. The Composite AV Cable connects to your iPod, iPhone, or Universal Dock
via the 30-pin dock connector and to your TV, home theater receiver, or
stereo receiver via the composite video and red/white analog audio
ports. The cable also features a USB connector that you can plug into a
power source, such as a computer or the included USB Power Adapter. (according to the site)
as other expert are saying
Please contact the vendor or the manufacture for the defect,I think that your device is in warranty if so then the vendor can replace it or repair it
good luck
I know it means "electrical or mechanical problem" according to the
manual. You probably are not able to read or even eject a CD. There is
no solution offerred, so you will have to get professional help.
I will suggest first contacting Pioneer at www.pioneerelectronics.com,
email or call tech support. Read the online user manual also if you
don't have one. They might refer you to a local repair shop, and you
can always try to get help from whoever installs the unit for you or
you have bought it from.
Sorry that I won't have further knowledge on this. My instinct will be to disconnect the power completely and see if it resets.
Goodluck,
Please don't forget to rate or accept the solution

Bought my son a 9 YO Renault Clio and it appears the radio had been replaced with a different unit then the original (I assume) radio put back in when it was sold. The code in the book says 1218 but this does not seem to be accepted. I just get the beep and even when holding the 5 button for a further 20 seconds - nothing. The details on the radio are: Model 22DC259/62F Prod No FD0400370187460 TOB370 RN259FY0187460 8200029539TB370 Any ideas on what is wrong and how I fix it? Or is it a new radio for Xmas? Barry

When I connect my iPod via the external usb port, it brings up the iPod screen and the clickwheel, says that the song is playing but does not produce any sound. I have not been able to figure out why, and I have gone through every setting on the unit...... Also, the EXT audio port will not function, I have a male to male cord plugged in and I get nothing. I feel like I am missing something
