SD/TF card error..

While my brother was playing the DS suddenly hung. When he tried to turn it back on again it said SD/TF card error..
Everytime we try to turn it on that's the only thing that come up.
By the way we are using an R4 with a 1GB Toshiba MicroSD.
I read somewhere that you have to reformat it. Please teach me how to.
Thanks

To format the card is pretty simple really, all you have to do is:-

make sure your card is plugged in with the p.c same as you drag and drop
go to my computer
look for where your flash drive is
dont click into it, right click it
a little list will show
go to format
then click start (dont use quick format)

When i put in my r4 card my ds keeps on saying sd/tf error. how do i fix it ?

This problem is most likely caused by corrupt data on your SD card. Your best bet is to format the SD card and and reload the backed up data if you have any.

I hope the info listed above has helped in some way.
If possible please rate this solution.

When turning power on it says SD/TF card error on my nintendo DS

The DS is telling you that the SD Memory card is faulty. Or at least thats what it "Thinks".

My Problem is: apparece in the screem, SD/TF error card.

The game socket cant read the sd card, have a look down the socket to see if you can see any bent or broken pins.

It might be worth checking the software on the sd card and possibly deleting the software and copying it back on.

Sd/tf card error

I use to have similar problems with my DS Card :(. In the end, I end up buying a new one - I personally use http://www.NDS-Gear.com

Apparently, the Sd/tf message occurs when there is a problem with the connection between the micro SD and the DS Card or between the DS card and the DS. You can try giving your micro SD a good clean ( give it a good blow) and see if that makes any difference. Also, I heard that sticking some papers at the back of the DS Card works for some people. If nne of this work, you would robably want to buy a new one or try and get a repalcement from your seller.

Ds lite will not play video files

Hi George,

Firstly may i suggest you put R4 firmware 1.18 on the micro sd card as it is much more stable (link: http://www.r4dscart.com/r4-software.html).

The moonshell you are using should be correct however, i am comfused by the .dpgm1v extension as i have only ever used files with the .dpg extension.

Have you tried downloading a .dpg movie and trying that in moonshell? Just a suggestion.

Please let me know how you get on. Will be happy to assist further if needed.

Good luck,

Karlos
