Early Warning EW-3400 Radar Detector Digital...

My NEW EW-3400 Radar Detectors Digital Compass always says some form of SOUTH, S.E., S.W. but never anything with NORTH,N.W. N.E ??
I don't have a manual for it. Do I need to Calibrate the Digital Compus or what??

ApprenticeI looked at another simuilar Detector and read on Digital Compass Calibration and through the process of elimination found that if I Press CITY for 3 sec.'s COMPASS CALIBRATION showed on the display. Then it says TURN YOUR VEHICLE SLOWLY 2 TIMES to CALIBRATE. Then press the CITY button to complete the calibration. Done. It worked my Early Warning EW-3400 Radar Detector's Compass is now Calibrated.
