Question about HP Officejet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

My HP Officejet 5610 All In One has a, "Cradle Is Jammed Clear Obstruction" message displayed. With a flashlight, I see that a small black piece of plastic on the far right appearing to be part of the unit/cradle is sticking upward abutted next to the ink cartridge unit thus preventing the, ink cartridge from moving left causing a horrible jam up. The small black piece will not move in any direction and notice that its some what connected to a spring (intact) just to the lower right of itself. This problem just came out of the blue. Please can you help diagnose? I have no HP picture of this area to help me figure this out. Thank you!

I would send the unit back under warranty, they should be able to fix that problem for you.

I put the black cartridge #56 into the tricolor in an HP 5610 Off

It just is "jammed" into place, like a round peg into a square hole.
Use a bit more strength, in order to "unjam" it.

Or, if you are not comfortable, take it to a qualified printer technician,
and let him/her remove it.

My printer keeps saying

There is probably a small piece(s) of debris floating around in there. Look very carefully for it with a flashlight. Try to remove it that way.
You can also buy "canned air" available at computer and office supply stores and use it to blow out the printer as thoroughly as you can.

Believe it or not, I have read where a small piece of skin has kept the carriage from moving properly.

2 small rubber pieces have fallen out. any idea

Those pieces go on the clean station and can easily be replaced. They each fit over a stud where the printhead parks and just press on.When they are missing the ink will dry out on your ink cartridges and the machine won't be able to clean them properly.
