Hi. The 0x6 is not an error code, if this is reported as quirk, it may indicate a faulty timer board, otherwise it is probably a firmware problem.
There is no or scarce documentation on this problem, did you try contacting the support number listed on the documentation to find out if a firmware update is available?

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Tips for a great answer:
Jan 11, 2011 | Memorex Televison & Video
Dec 23, 2010 | Toshiba D-VR3 DVD Recorder/VCR
Turn on the Bluetooth device that you would like to sync to by pressing and holding the multifunction button on the device until the blue light turns on.
Navigate on your Vr3 phone through the main menu to "Settings," "Bluetooth," "Handsfree" and "New Device."
Click on the name of your Bluetooth device and enter the default passcode for the device, which is "0000" for Motorola devices.
Click "Connect" and your Vr3 will be synced with the passkey to the Bluetooth device.
