Question about Televison & Video

Our Tevion PVR (TPVR 1100) (product number 6722; serial number TPVR110011073411) seems to have frozen. It has defaulted to 00.00 where the time should be and is frozen on Channel 10. The remote control has no effect except when 'Rec List' is pressed the message 'HDD init not finished, please try it later' appears with the option to press either OK or Exit. However neither of these buttons respond when pressed on the remote control.

    Firstly the TPVR1100 in NOT a projection television.Yes, I have had the same problem . When 'Rec List' is pressed the

    respond when pressed on the remote control. The unit has been returned
    under warranty (Expires 11/08) and I have been promised a new unit with
    "better software".I have lost many hours of important recording Also
    I have had huge problems with the remote from this unit interfering
    with my Tevion ALCD3270 (32" HD LCD TV.) The units are located beside
    each other and there are at least eight conflicts. I have had to put
    PVC pipe on both remotes to restrict the field of transmission. I
    should really have returned the TPVR1100 within the first month.

    My TPVR1100 has now failed. It was returned to Pebble Electronics and I now have, as a replacement, a TPVR2511. I was hopeful that the remote would be different. Alas; of the 43 buttons, 21 conflict with my Tevion ALCD3270 TV.

It's the hard drive at fault. Take it out pop it in a pc, initialize and reformat put it back in.
If you want to try and save the recordings try pvr101disk.exe to mount it before the above.

Unplug the unit from the AC for 10 minutes then plug back in when it reboots it should be fine but don't press any buttons while it reboots. also if you use CFLs (energy saving light bulbs) in the room remove them and any adjoining room where the light can be seen. they seem to interfere with the IR commands of the remote and sometimes send strange commands to the unit to do wierd things.

After persevering with this unit (and the severe conflict with my Aldi TV) for about 10 months, then the replacement having the same conflict problems, Aldi agreed to a full refund. They expressed regret for all the inconvenience. I was most impressed!
Thanks to all those who tried to help.

I have now purchased a Topfield TP7100 which was released on the Australian market with unreliable firmware. I then waited about six weeks before an update was made available.

We have the same machine that was sent back under warranty for which a new HDD was installed. we had it back about a week and a half and it has frozen again.
i have rung aldi direct and they eluded to the fact that there was something fundamentaliy wrong with these machines.
my suggestion would be to ask for a refund.

Cannot go beyond Garmin first page


It sounds like battery needs to be recharged. Try connecting a USB cable between the nuvi and your computer overnight to fully charge the battery. After, you should use the car charger to keep it charged.

Factory setttings has to restore but forgot securiy code


Do you have your " lock code ". Then enter it instead of the security code. Its default is in the manual.
