Unplug this unit for some time and this could rest to it's defaults.

Get the bowl to release from the stand

The only way to unstick it is with more energy. Get someone to hold the motor unit firmly and someone else turn the bowl anti clockwise. There is no magic if it's stuck, just more effort required.

Acer stuck on preparing to stand by

I would force power off, (press and hold down the power button) then start up windows and download any updates that are missing and then use the Shut Down command instead of the Stand By/Sleep mode.

I have a toshiba 32wlt68 stuck in standby help!!

At least you have the 5vdc standby circuit working, the controller board may not be sending the ON command to the main power supply, or the main power supply itself is bad. Look at the main power supply module first for burnt parts, bad capacitors.
Please post back what you find.

Hi i have a toshiba 32wlt68 lcd tv the telly is superb but it as picked up a fault with the scren. It has got vertical lines down the screen about 4ins apart i have tried everything and they just wont go....

Possibly try a new scart lead.Try and get a gold plated connection.Around 15-20 quid. The pins inside the scart tend to loosen after a few years and if just one is'nt connecting properly it can cause picture loss
