Fujitsu plasma monitor 42" - keeps going to standby.

I have a fujitsu monitor which was used to promote games on PS2 console in a shop, It now hangs on the wall at home. Two weeks ago it just went from working to standby. If i leave it turned off for a couple of days it comes back on fine for about 20 minutes then goes to standby. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Harvey

harvey, you're screwed. it is going to cost me 1800 to get the boards replaced, so i'm looking at buying a new set. they say it's just age. mine is four years old, and may not live another day.

I have a Fujitsu 42 inch and it's 3 years old. For the past 6 months I have had a **** screen and no one can tell me what's wrong or even come and have a look. Fujitsu in Australia have been no help whatsoever. The screen has a fence like effect with the picture behind the lines of what appears to be like a paling fence. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what can be done to fix it. I have to turn it on and off several to lessen the effect but you cannot get rid of it completely. Help!!!

It sound likes electrolytic caps in the power supply have started to dry out keeping the proper voltage maintained to the sustain board then to the z sustain board. It is advisable to have this taken care of "pronto".

It is the soft wear protection system error. You should asked for service.

One game (on a disk with 8 games) no longer works on my PS2

Is the disc scratched? If so it may be scratched in an area that contains data for the game. If that is the case, try repairing the disc using a repair kit, bring it to a game shop that repairs discs, or purchase a new copy.

42 Fujitsu PDS4221W-H, no power

A user manual is available from this link:-
http://safemanuals.com/user-guide-instructions-owner-manual/FUJITSU/PLASMAVISION%20PDS4221-_E
Check for a hidden power switch under the lower left or right under corner of the screen, ensure it is ON (- not sure if this switch is fitted to your model, but it does exist on other Fujitsu models).
Fujitsu no longer support or manufacture plasma screen TVs - therefore no parts are available from them. [Fujitsu only serviced to board replacement level - very expensive].
The Fujitsu models (generally, after 4 or more years use) suffer from cracked solder joints on circuit boards (due thermal cycling stress).
See Fixya tips:-
"Fujitsu Plasma 42" random shutdown - continuous flashing red led".

Fujitsu Plasma Screen won't power up

This is most likely caused by the Main Power pcb.

See Fujitsu Service Bulletin on this problem in a similar model from Fujitsu. -see link below
http://tomtom2k5.free.fr/fujitsu/PDP-0035-06.pdf

A competent service technician should be able to implement the service bulletin.
A similar service bulletin is probably available for your model. Request bulletin from Fujitsu '[email protected]'

Why don't you just take it to Best Buy or where ever you got it from and then exchange it or you could return it and git your $ back!!!!!!!

PS2 hangs

It might just be the game if that's the only one giving you problems. I have Shining Force Neo, and occasionally it will lag so bad I'll have to wait several minutes before I can resume gameplay. It seems to be a problem with the game itself, not your system.
