My acer aspire 5100 mouse buttons

Scrolling arrows on the mousepad on my aspire 5100 stopped working i found a site that told me how to fix my mouse the other day by pressing some buttons that turn it on and off so i was wondering if there is another command to turn on the arrow keys that are on the mouse pad too?

You have to go through the Control Panel, double click the mouse icon and find the settings for what is actually called a Glide Pad and change any values from there.

Aspire 5100 mouse is frozen how to fix problem

Try restarting your computer by pushing the windows button on the bottom of the keyboard on the left side, generally next to the ALT button. use your arrow keys to move over to the shut down button, select restart and restart your computer. Or you can shut down and then push the power button to start up your computer. This should help reset your laptop and unfreeze your mouse.

If this does not work, go to the control panel, again using the windows button and the arrow keys. select mouse, then go thru the tabs on the window to make sure that your mouse pad is selected to control your mouse.

If you found this information helpful, please remember to leave positive feedback.

Thank You,
Brian

The left mouse button on my acer aspire 5100 laptop is broken. Can the plastic mouse button and surround be replaced?

Hi,

yea, its a very common problem with Mousepad hardware.
But, it might be costly since, only 5% customers face this due to less cautiousness of handling mousepad.

But as the answer to your question, it is easily replaceable.

Get it replaced by an authorised servicemen.
Hope it helps.

Thanks.

Keyboard and mouse stopped working

I would check the Flex cable's first. If keyboard is not working sometimes this does not allow the pad to work. Here is one of the sites I use for repairs. Good luck and have a good day.

Try getting a USB Mouse and plug it into one of your USB ports. This will also reduce wear and tear on your laptop :)
