Your owner's manual may have a trouble shooting section which may include a list of fault codes. If not, the list of fault codes will be contained within a tech sheet hidden in the washer somewhere, either behind the backguard or on the inside of the front panel.

If you can still open the door when it's supposed to be locked it probably means that the interlock on the door catch is faulty.Easier to fix than if the door is locked shut!!...Not a big job but should be done by a qualified tech. See if you can find an independent, self employed tech...Generally cheaper and better than 'Brand Name' servicemen..Good luck..........Nomess

What does F11 error message stand for on my Whirlpool awo 9565 washing machine?

The F11 fault code indicates a serial communication error between the Machine Control board and the Motor Control board. This can be caused by several different problems.

A failed Machine Control board could be failing to provide the Motor Control board with proper voltage. If this is causing the F11 code, then the Machine Control board would need to be replaced.

The Machine Control board could also be failing to supply proper voltage to the door lock assembly. The Machine Control board would need to be replaced for this failure as well.

Voltage flows from the Machine Control board to the Door Lock Assembly. The Door Lock then energizes and closes the Door Lock MAIN Switch. Voltage flows out of the Door Lock Main Switch to the Motor Control board. So if you have power into the Door Lock Assembly but not out of the Main Door Lock Switch, it will give you an F11. If so, you will need to replace the Door Lock Assembly.

You could have a bad Motor Control board that is causing this failure. A bad wiring connection between the Motor Control board and the Machine Control board could also cause this fault code. A bad wiring connection between the Motor Control board and the drive motor is also a possible failure. A failed drive motor could also cause the F11.

With so many possible causes for this failure, I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair the problem in your washer. If you are able to unplug the washer and check the wiring connections, you may be able to find a loose wire harness connection that is causing the problem. Much of the diagnosis for the potential problems noted above requires live voltage checks. I do not recommend conducting these types of checks yourself. Unless you want to take a chance and replace the Machine Control board and the Door Lock Assembly,

Whirlpool awo 9663 wont start cycle

This can be due to failure of motor components or the control panel as there is no communication for the drive . Check the motor to panel wiring, check the panel for failed component

F12error on whirlpoolawo/d5716

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

'F12' decodes as 'element (heater) short circuit' on Whirlpool AWO series of washers.
Sorry but this probably means a service call unless you know someone else who could repair your washer ;-0(

If this has clarified the situation and/or assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Cant reset my f13 fault and wen i power on it takes its take to lite front panel up

Hi again,
Whirlpool AWO 'F13' decodes as 'dispenser circuit failure'. If you have tried switching off and back on again and it is still there I suspect it means that you will have to call an engineer. Sorry ;-0(
Good luck,

Whirlpool AWO/D4305 Washing Machine. The "Water

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Providing that the tap is turned fully on AND the hoses are not kinked or squashed at the back, this is symptomatic of a malfunctioning water control valve- the hot water one, if the washer is hot and cold fill, and the cold one if it is just cold fill!
Sorry but it needs a service call ;-0(
Good luck,
John C

Machine stopped showing F11 as fault on screen. No detail in the book as to cause or solution to this fault. Machine is a whirlpool AWO 10561

F11 Motor control unit internal failure MCU board failure or broken wire. Check that harness for loose connection to that white box on the left. That is the MCU. Get a tech manual for your machine HERE fe0b7a2.jpg4c1535c.jpg
This might just be a loose connection. The MCU pictured here is the white box on the left and above
The tech sheet is behind the kickplate also and it will give you the data you need for your codes.
