E-02 Error "Replace Ink Cartridge"

I haven't use my printer for months and I remember that there are still yellow, cyan and black ink and no blue ink when I stopped using the printer. Now, I will use it, it said that I need to replace all the ink. So, I replaced it with the original inks but the error still persists. I need to replace ink. Meaning, it did not recognize the ink I replaced. I tried to remove it and place it back again. But still the problem is the same. What will I do to fix the problem?

    Same problem, cant find any solution, first time tried to replace cartridges, when i try individualy at a time i get to three cartridges recognized, but when i put the 4th one in all dissapear accept one. Now ive a got a printer that dont print.

    I replaced the black ink cartrige and now the printer shows me an error E-02 as if doesn't have any ink cartrige instaled. I allready replaced that same ink cartrige twice and it didn't work.

After you have installed the new ink, take it out again, and check that the hole has been pierced. Then, shake the ink by giving it a quick suck until some ink comes out, and then replace the cartridge into the printer. This worked for us anyway. Good luck!

There is a program called SSC Service Utility, but for me it didnt work, I still have the same problem. But, who knows for you work!

I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink or toner cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled (the absolute worst possible choice) or third party cartridges (2nd. Worst possible choice) that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks or toner causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead or photo conductors.
If you are using factory new ink or toner cartridges, then please call the manufacturer’s Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

Why too much yellow and red no greens or blues ?


Inkjet printers use additive pigments. CMYK, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. It sounds like you're not getting any Cyan ink to the paper. Either your printer is out of Cyan ink, or your Cyan print head is clogged.

Go into your printer's Properties and run a Nozzle Check. It will print a series of lines with each color. There will probably be a big empty space where it tried and failed to print Cyan. You can try cleaning the print heads, but if you're getting NO Cyan that is unlikely to work.

If you're lucky, your printer is one of the ones that the print heads are built into the ink cartridge so replacing the cartridge will resolve the problem. If you're not, you might need to get it serviced (or probably more cost effective, buy a new printer).

Only prints in green and blue


You are more than likely out of magenta (red) ink. That printer uses a tri-color cartridge, and it has cyan (blue) magenta (red) and yellow ink. Green is blue + yellow-therefore you do have those two colors; since it will not print anything red or black you will need to replace both cartridges.

I changed all Print cartridges-Black, Yellow,Cyan,Blue


On this machine you have to install inks with power on and use the ink button and choose replace ink. If you just plug them in it won't register and reset the counts. You may need to run clean cycles at least twice to get proper colors.

What is cyan ink


It must be referring to the cyan color cartridge.

"Cyan" refers to the blue-green color cartridge.

Most printers have either 2 cartridges (black and multicolor), or 4 cartridges( black, magenta, yellow, and cyan).

Ink in blue slot is not dissolving


If your printer still can print but with no cyan color then you most likely have a bad printhed. If your cyan ink is not melting it's because it is not using any ink . Get into the "print quality" menu and print the test page. If you get black, yellow, and magenta but little or no cyan then your printhead is bad. Whith these machines cyan is the first color to have poblems starting with weak or missing jets.

You can try to run the "eliminate light stripes" to see if it will help.
Run it about 3 to 5 times. If still not working right, turn the printer off for at least 4 hours and then test again.

Cyan toner does not rotate to front to be change


um... Cyan is blue isn't it?

Magenta Pink,
Yellow = Yellow and
Black = black.

make sure that you are using genuine Brother ink cartridges.what is on the lcd screen of the brother machine?if no cart,remove all cart.reinstall them.if there is an error message,sorry,but you have to replaced.and your brother machine does not have a green cart.it only has cyan(blue),mag(red),yellow and black.there is a way of cleaning it though

Do you have the operators manual? Run it through a cleaning cycle. Also Xerox's website will guide you through some maintenance steps. If you are using generic wax, you may have clogged the jets.
