Question about Acer eMachines 520-2890 Notebook
Hello, i have an eMachines 525 notebook; from 2 days ago if battery is plugged in, notebook shutdown after 50 seconds; even if i'm surfing in Bios Settings; i open it , check for dust on cooling - cleared (not too much dust anyway), installed new thermo paste on GPU and CPU; still same; no change; so is cleared; after that i notice that if i unplug the battery, laptop works just fine; no more shutdowns; still i verify the battery on another same model and there is all fine; so battery is good aswell; i mention that i tryed to plug the battery in windows, to see if she is charging; the icon looks like charge the battery but show 0%; after 50 seconds...booom....shutdown again; please give me a clue how to sort that; thanks in advance
Try another battery, known to be working fine,in your laptop. If the problem still persists, there might be a possibility that the charging circuitry on the laptop's motherboard is defective & needs servicing. In order to do this, the laptop needs to be disassembled & the motherboard checked for defective/burned out components in the area near the DC jack. Any defective/burned out components found should be replaced, or you might need to replace the laptop's motherboard altogether.
