Question about Car Audio & Video

Multi media car stereo

Having problems finding quality multi-media car stereo under $700.00. Is there any GOOD in-dash 7" motoroized screen, 50 watts or more per channel, bluetooth ready, MP3, CD/DVD, back-up video plug-in, (possibly T.V. tuner-not required), pod interface, preamp,; Dual I told was cheap and always in need of repair. Alpine is too expensive. Any suggestions?

If you have a vehicle that can fit a 'double-din' sized radio, I would suggest the Pioneer AVH-P4000...$500 without the extras. Easy to add an i-pod cable, has back-up video hookup. Also bluetooth ready as has capability for satellite, hd radio, and tv tuner if you ever wanted to add them.

You need to reset the CD player. Remove the front panel and you will see a tiny hole in the middle of the panel of the unit mounted in the dash (i.e. without front panel). Gently push a ball point pen or pin in to press the reset switch.

Hope this helps.

Go to your nearest car stereo installer and ask them NICELY to look at your problem, what $30?
If it's free (and sometimes it is) buy the dude lunch $10 and consider it a deal.
Good Luck

What Speakers?

Excellent choice on head unit (stereo). I NEVER had a bad panasonic. First, you MUST realize that you can blow a peaker 2 ways. 1st, by giving it too much power (not your issue as factory speakers can handle ANY deck power you may have (IE 4 x 50 watts etc.)

The 2nd way is by distortion. This is the MOST COMMON reason why speakers blow. You just ccan't play massive amounts of bass from a stereo. Your deck will distort and burn up the voice coil.

So, really anything would work. I sold Cadence (not in active business any more) and I will tell you, they CAN take abuse. UYou can check them out at www.cadencesound.com I'n not selling, jus recomending! You can check out my rides at http://www.cybersoundsaudio.com/cybersounds/vehiclepics.html and see what they are. The HURT/OLDS has componenet 51/4's giving they 15 wats RMS to each pair. Also took 1st in sound quality. Also have the sam pair in my van since 199!! Yeah, they last!

Need a dash installation kit for a 3.5" screen in-dash stereo.

You can find that at a walmart or a local car audio shop. Depending on the make and model of your vehicle will decide wether it is in stock or not. Good luck.
