Question about Teac P-55 Thermal Printer
This could be an adjustment, or a worn part, hard to say. It can even be a slightly loose ribbon connector. Unfortunately, it would take a service manual on the unit to troubleshoot it, and those are 1. hard to come by and 2. often expensive. and limited to qualified technicians, or authorized dealers. If the unit's out of warranty, you can take it apart and see if there's a ribbon connector, and if you can reseat it. If that doesn't help, a guide rod could be bent, or some part worn. You might inquire to Teac about the problem, and their suggested course of action. Here's their web support site:
