Lint goes all over my washing every time i use the machine

Wash lint givers (eg. towels, flannelette sheets) separately from lint collectors (eg. synthetic
fabrics). Over loading SmartDrive can increase the likelihood of linting. Insufficient detergent for
the load can increase linting as there will not be enough detergent to hold the lint in suspension.
Over drying synthetic fabrics in a dryer can cause a build-up of static electricity and result in the
fabrics attracting lint.

My GE dishwasher keeps increasing the wash time. How do I fix this.

CleanSensor mode, indicated by a "Sensing" LED on the control panel, extends the cleaningicon1.png cycle based on the level of soiling and the temperature of the incoming water. The time of the cycle shown on the LCD display increases or decreases to illustrate the change in cycle duration.
The time shown on on the LCD display may increase if the dishwasher has to heat the incoming water to a suitable temperature. Your home's water boiler might be set too low if the water coming from the hot tap is lukewarm or cool.

Fuel consumption has dramatically increased, suddenly. Major tune up about 40,000 km ago. What may be the problem?

Hi. You did not mention any changes in the operation of the vehicle. If the vehicle is running the same as it always has I would look for a fuel leak, or maybe some one is taking fuel from your vehicle. Considering the cost of fuel these days that is a very real possability. Especially since you stated that the increase is a dramatic difference. Most mechanical fuel consumption changes occur gradually over time.

The times seem to have changed on the settings for soil levels. For instance, the quick is 50 minutes and the normal is 84 minutes. That does not seem right. Is there any way to set them different?

Answer to your question "Is there any way to set them different?" Short answer is no. The Maytag Neptune like many other washers that display a time of cycle first start with an estimated time this relays a lot on the last cycle ran. But, more importantly it also takes into consideration other washing options. For example, lets say that your quick wash cycle used to only display 35 min. now if you select an extra rinse option the time will increase from that 35 min. to a higher amount of time. This is due to the longer time it takes to go through a second rinse cycle. The MAH5500 if I'm not mistaken also has a heater in it so there are options such as sanitize which takes 120 degree hot incoming water (suggested temp. for hot water heaters) and heats it to approx. 165 degrees. And as you can imagine this takes a washer some time to do this (increasing wash time). If you would like to lower washing time check the washing options and remove any that are not needed at that time; pay close attention to extra rinse cycles and the soil levels that are selected. Hope this helps. Cheers.

The wash time continues to increase on every cycle. I have a Maytag Neptune TL Washer.

Thank you my machine model number. The reason I ask is so many folks post non FAV6800A/FAV9800A issues in this forum. This forum doesn’t ask for machine model number and serial number. Here we go.

Does your machine seem to take longer than normal to fill with water?

Does the machine increase the time during the Spin Cycle of the Wash Cycle?

Are there any error codes to the LED display such as dC or uC?

Do you want to work toward a DIY fix? If not maybe we can get a solid feel for the issue that will help you in the decision process to bring in a repair company or replace.

So I can better understand the issue can you start a Quick Wash cycle with Soil and Spin settings set to lowest setting and if you could place a couple of bath towels in the wash basket for a load.

I want to see if the machine will go thru the Wash, Rinse and Spin cycle within the 27 to 29 min time of a Quick Wash cycle. I want to see if the machine is increasing Washer Cycle time in the Spin Cycle of the Wash Cycle.

You should enter the Rinse Cycle at the 20 min mark on the LED display.

You should enter the Spin Cycle at the 10 min mark on the LED display.

Watch the cycle and see if you have similar times as I do. Let me know if the washer has any off balance issues as it enters into the Spin Cycle…..Rich

Wash cycles are increasing in time required to complete

cold water valve in back could be plugged causing longer fill times.
