First scheck you charger plug contacts on the bottom. The way they are placed make them vulnerable to dirt and corrosion from moist. Try to clean the contact, or maybe gently scraping them clean with a small thin object like straightened paperclip or similar. Scraping to hard can damage the contacts further. This should ensure good contact for the charging pins. If your fully charged battery have unsufficiant stand by time and performance, then consider replacing the battery itself. Recycle the old one!
