Hi,
F2 -Oven temperature too hot
Replace relay board if faulty. Check and replace oven temperature sensor (RTD). If failure repeats, replace ERC (electronic range control or clock).
Thank You

After I cleaned my ovens the top one doesn't heat anymore. I was told that the circuit fuse button has to be reset. We can't locate it. Can you please help? The model umber is: Thermador SCD302TP

Hi,

Welcome to FixYa.

To address your post, looking for an over-temp cut-out tripped. Here`s what and where to look for for this,

Fortunately if it is tripped, they are the manual reset type and are accessible behind the black grill/vent just above the lower door ( just below upper door) next to the lock latch assembly.

**Turn off the 40amp breaker at your service panel or sub-panel in the home before attempting any service...safety first**

With the power off, you should be able to remove the grill and push the red button in the center of the thermostat and that should fix your problem...as shown here,

If indeed the hi-limit is tripped you`ll know immediately because you`ll feel it click as you push it down. It will look like the image below...

Other than that if you call in a pro, I'd suggest you be sure they are an authorized B/S/H/ service provider ( B/S/H/ is the parent company for Bosch, Thermador, Gaggenau, Siemens products ).

Hope that answers your question and gets you back up and operating. Good luck.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Self cleaning F5

Hi,

Sorry you haven't had an answer to your inquiry yet. You may not even require a remedy any longer, but in the event you do I'll post it.

The "F5" in the smw272 wall unit is indicating the on-board watchdog has detected a oven temperature sensor fault/failure. The remedy issued by Thermador's tech support and authorized technicians service manual's is to first replace the oven temperature sensor. If the display should still display after wards, replace the main relay board.

It may be too late to suggest, but you may be best served having an authorized thermador tech look at it.

Hope that helps, better late than never hopefully.

Self-clean turns off after 5 minutes with F2 error message

Hi MaryB,

F2 error code means that the oven temperature is too hot. You will have to replace relay board if faulty. Check and replace oven temperature sensor (RTD). If failure repeats, replace ERC (electronic range control or clock). For replacement part you may contact Sears at 1-800-252-1698; M-F 6:30 AM-10:30 PM - Sat 7:00 AM-9:30 PM - Sun 7:30 AM-9:30 PM - All times Central.

Error F5 comes on when trying to bake

Ok, this is a control fault that may or may not be solved by initiating a hard reset. To initiate this reset, you will have to unplug the entire oven for 3 total Min's. it is vital that you allow three total Min's before you power up once more. if you cant reach the actual plug, you can shut of the appropriate circuit breaker as well for three total Min's. Once the hard reset has been initiated, power the oven up once more. If the same problem still exists, you will have to replace the Electronic Oven Control Board.

Please rate and god bless:)
