If there is not slot for AGP then you can not use your new graphics card. Maybe you can replace card with PCI type. im sure your board supports pci slots

SOURCE: graphics card problem

Hi rovin,
So you bought an XFX GeForce 256MB video card. You're board has 1 free AGP 8x video slot & 3 PCI (White opened slots).
You mention there is not slot for the new card. (What type of video card did you buy)? PCI-E, AGP or PCI?
The only slot you're board does not have is a PCI-Express.
Look in you're manual on page 1-7 for the location of the AGP video card slot.
94565e6.jpg If you bought the wrong card, exchange it for an AGP 8x or PCI.
The ASUS P5PE-VM uses a integrated Intel® 865G chipset with integrated Intel® Extreme Graphics 2 Technology, which uses you're system memory to function.
If you need a manual you can download it from Asus. Click on the link to open to the P5PE-VM download site.

I hope you find this helpful.

Mother board problem

Hello my name is Tim Ehrhart, I think you may need to check into re-installing your drivers for the mother board http://driver-pro.com/related/english/hardware-drivers/?hit=1&sofl=11&adurl=12131 also if there is a second express card slot you may try using that one as it could be the slave slot. I hope this helps you, please feel free to ask more questions, I will try to andswer asap.

Ge force 6200 video card installation

Hi dl1099, your motherboard L7VMM2 can only run a 4xAGP video card as noted in your manual pg. 2 Settings pg. 36
If your not getting video at boot up switch connectors on the video card.

Installing NVidia 8500GT XFX 256MB graphics to A8N-VM Motherboard

The chances are that you have an old motherboard which is not compatable with the new graphic card. Or you may be running windows 98 and are downloading the driver for xp or visa versa. The probable solution, will be to sell the new card on ebay and buy the best old card you can off ebay. Or just make do with the card you already had in your computer. If you are determined to have a better graphics card. A motherboard upgrade with better graphic card may be the best answer or buy a better spec pc second hand if you don't have much money. You'll probably waiste a lot of time trying to get the new card to work and it probably never will.
