How do I make google my home page

Go to browser settings, look for start page, enter: www.google.com, save. Look at advanced settings and make sure there are no other alternative pages listed. If that does not work and a virus disabled google, Uninstall the browser ,install chrome from google.com, and it will ask if you want Google to be your homepage. Alternately, go to Google in your browser, add it to favorites, then in your favorites folder, drag the Google shortcut to your desktop and launch your browser with that new shortcut.

Ok i have windows vista on my comuter with a microsoft basic keyboard1.0A. Now with the top three buttons (mail, web/home, search) the mail one opens up microsoft office outlook but i want it to open...

There's no way to do this perfectly, but I can get you pretty close to what you want. Here are the steps:
1. Create a new shortcut on your Desktop or in My Documents. (Right click - New - Shortcut) 2. It will ask you what the target location of this shortcut is. Type "http://www.hotmail.com". 3. Now that it's created, right click on it and click "Properties". 4. Click in the box next to "Shortcut key" and hit your mail key. It should now say Ctrl + Alt + (something that stands for your mail key) 5. Hit apply and try it out.
Now if you hold down the Ctrl key and the Alt key then hit your mail button, it should take you to your Hotmail. I know it's not perfect, but I hope it's suitable for you!

Create a shortcut key for Internet web pages

Create a PC shortcut key to a favorite web page by following the below steps.

Internet Explorer users

Users using Internet Explorer can quickly do this by right-clicking on an empty spot of a web page and click 'Create Shortcut'.

Other Internet browser users

If your browser window is maximized make it a window. Once done click and drag the icon next to the URL and drag it to your desktop or other location you wish to create the shortcut.

After shortcut has been created

Once the shortcut has been created locate the shortcut and right-click it and click Properties. In the shortcut properties assign a new shortcut key and click OK. Now when the shortcut key is pressed the web page will be automatically loaded.

There are so many buttons on the Microsoft Laser Desktop 4000 keyboard and I would like to loearn how to use all of them without wasting a lot of time. Why aren't there any instructions and how do I learn...

On the left side of the keyboard you'll find a few function keys. From bottom to top we have the Web/Home, which simply opens up your primary web browser as you'd expect. Gadgets is a Vista exclusive, but I'm confused as to it's actual usefulness. If the windows Sidebar is closed, pushing this button will open it. Mail and Call both open up Windows specific applications, Windows Mail and Windows Messenger. Lastly we have the My Documents button which is self explanatory. The zoom feature is one of the best on this keyboard in my opinion. It explains itself really, but you have the ability to slide it up or down to zoom in and out on a webpage or photo. Many keyboards instead just have buttons for accomplishing this, but a slider makes it feel more natural.

Up top we have the usual slew of media shortcuts including video or music playback buttons. The "My Favorites" keys are shortcuts to anything you want, whether it be a certain file, application or game. The little Star button below these brings up the dialog to set up these keys, which I will touch on shortly.

There are three buttons above the numpad, and though difficult to read in a photograph, they are Calculator, Log Off and Sleep. I am a personal fan of the Calculator shortcut on media keyboards as I reference it often.

No audio, video

pretty generic question, if that is even a question. So generic answer, find the model of your graphics card, and sound card by going to System Properties, in the Device Manager. System properties shortcut is holding down the Win key and pressing Pause/Break and releasing Win key on the keyboard. This is system properties, use the tabs at the top for Hardware, and go down to Device Manager. Anything with exclaimations means you need the driver installed.

It's a hell of a lot easier to just switch to a free operating system that finds the drivers you need for you, such as Linux. My favorite distribution is called Ubuntu, and the price is right, free. Just download, burn the image to DVD disc, reboot and follow installation instructions. Simple solution to M$ Windoze craziness monopoly game of computer business. Know your freedoms, switch to Linux.

Ok try this, check your media player properties. There is option for a shortcut key maybe you set it to run when you press SHIFT + p combination.

Search the media player application the one that runs it, right click it, select properties then check the SHORTCUT KEY entry try to have it blank.
