Your projection TV has HDMI input so you would need to either run an HDMI-HDMI cable from an HDMI output on your computer or, more likely, a DVI-HDMI cable from the DVI output on teh computer to the HDMI input on the TV. If ycou can'T find a DVI-HDMI cable note that you can also buy DVI/HDMI adapters for one end of an HDMI-HDMI cable.

Note that DVI is HDMI minus the sound so if you do run DMI to HDMI you'll also need to route the sound to your TV or other amplifier.

If you only have a VGA output on your computer then you will not be able to easily run this to your TV as VGA is an anologue signal while DVI and HDMI are digital. To do this you'd need a converter.

Hope this helps. If so then please rate my advice.

Thanks

I connected my Dell laptop to my Vizio HDTV with an SVGA Monitor Cable, but I get a blue screen and "No Signal" when I select Comp on the television's input menu.

It's because the tv is connected as a second monitor and it must be configured accordingly. Follow this
http://freewindowsvistatutorials.com/customizeWindowsVista/customizingAppearanceAndSounds/configureDisplaySettings.php
the tv will be the second (2) display. Also make sure you select the native resolution of your tv for the best image quality.

Samsung hdtv to compaq pc

There should be a setting within the comp. Is it connected to the comp monitor and the tv? Perhaps from the comp to the tv with the monitor from the comp as well? Well if so, you may need a certain setting within the comp. Check under (on xp) display properties, and then under the settings tab. Please rate!

Monitor keeps blank even the power lLED is on green

I suspect the problem is with the monitor itself. I have had the same problem. I reported it to Dell and they sent me a new monitor within a few days the problem resurfaced again on the new monitor. They have since sent me a new monitor and the problem has disappeared. The Dell customer service people sounded rather cagy to me when I suggested that this was a problem endemic to this model. The replacement monitor that I have had a sticker on the box that read "refurbished". This is a rather new model of monitor to already be into selling "refurbished" models. If you are still under warranty I suggest you call them. And even if you aren't, call them anyway. I sense that they know about this problem.
