Question about Fujitsu Heating & Cooling

Open Question

Fujitsu Multi Split Inverter AOT30QMAM4 with: 2xAST9QMACW heads and one - AST12PMACW , - the last of which, (12PMA), has "Operating Lights" fast flashing and "Timer Light" flashing in bundles of four @ 0.5secs. at a time. The unit seems, nevertheless, to be working well. Problem started, as unit was off and is continuous. After being switched off at fuse box, the flashing stops, but re-commences immediately upon start. May I be informed of the cause and its rectification, please?

SOURCE: Fujitsu AOT30PMAL inverter outdoor unit not working

Sounds like your compressor is seized or a start fault. If the unit is under five years old it should be under warranty. Call Fujitsu warranty out to have a look at it for you.
Contact details as follows

Sorry but either way I think your going to need a part there is very little that I can do unless your in WA.

It sounds like your inverter is at fault. You will need an inverter tester ( most good service techs will have one ) to prove that the output to the compressor is correct. If the inverter is okay then it will be the compressor at fault with a location error or it is simply seized. A common fault that caused this was the eev remained closed (coil failure ) and caused the compressor to over heat.

SOURCE: Fujitsu General ASHA09LAC Multi Inverter

Your split system is an inverter model. In it the compressor is powered not simply from the mains thru a relay but from a special and very complex set of converters: a rectifier to convert the incoming AC current to DC and then uses pulse-width modulation of the DC current within an inverter to produce AC current of a desired frequency to power the compressor.
In your case the unit that provided the final AC current to the compressor has failed. The fact this happened a few days after you have started using it is a clear indication of manufacturing defect - some of the electronic components used in that inverter were of a low quality and they haven't been able to cope with the stresses so they failed.
This is something that only the dealer (and its repair crew) can solve and it's covered by the warranty - time to call them. And in the mean time disconnect the unit from the mains.

FUJITSU Inverter wall mounted split air conditioner Model : AST12LSBCW not working, flashing lights

This is a "PFC circuit abnormal" in the outdoor unit meaning that the outdoor controller board is faulty. Try turning the machine off at the isolator switch for 10 mins, then back on to see if the error resets. If not you will need a new controller PCB.

What error is causing it to flash 2 x green and red then 5 x red?

This fault relates to a over current protection,
fault can be a number of things

connection failure (check power and connections)
outdoor fan failure (fan operating?)
outdoor coil dirty (is air passing through coil or is it clogged)
compressor failure (compressor operating?)
pcb and/or inverter PCB failure (is there power at boards or any visual damage)

I have same problem like yours to my newlyinstalled Fujitsu multi-split system (the first time use since system installed1 week ago). I rang the electrician whodid the installation; he said it must be the units themselves nothing to dowith electricity. Okay, then I rang Fujitsu and their local service agent. Theysuggested me to switch off C/B for an hour to reset the units. I followed theinstruction but the indoor units still did not respond to remote control...

It simply looks like no power supply to indoor units (they are hard-wired tothe outdoor unit). So I used a multi-meter to test the power terminals of indoorunits (Danger! If you have no idea about this, don't even try! ): it seemed nopower supply even C/B is on. I turned to the isolator which next to the outdoorunit. The isolator was making arcing noise when I switched it on and off. Theindoor units suddenly turned on for few minutes then died again. So I figuredout the problem is that crooked isolator. I called the unhappy electricianto replace the isolator. End story....
I hope my experience will give a littlehelp to you...
