Exactly the same problem as described by hokey_cokey. The description of the issue fits my Canon LBP5000 perfectly.

Same here. You can almost always fix it by pasting the text into a new document and changing the formatting of the starting words/table, etc.; but so far I haven't worked out what makes the difference. Drives me crazy.

exactly the same problem here too. Only 2 months old.

Try to set paper size from A4 (if you use it) to free.

This work for me :-)

Make sure the printer is defaulted to use the tray, I found it kept trying to get paper from the manual feed slot at the front.

Hey! I´ve had the same prob until I discovered that I have to make sure " Format For " and " Page Setup " in the printer-dialogue ( for any program... ) has to be correct. Since I´ve only printed on A4, I got to have " Format For " set to " LBP5000 " and " Paper Size " set to " A4 ". Sometimes by default " Format For " , is set to " Any printer " and " Paper Size " is set to " U.S. Letter " and that will render the " Out Of Paper "-msg. Hope it´ll work for you! Most likely going to be an issue with the paper tray sensor. I can't think of any home remedies. You may want to have it serviced.

Paper jam error with my canon mp180 printer and it wont let me do anything i have checked the printer numerous times to see if theres anything in there and theres not.

This problem can occur, may be there is no paper jam inside but improperly inserted paper in the paper tray.
Check and verify that there is no paper or a piece of paper stuck in the roller or the belt. Remove all the paper from the paper tray and insert them again, do not fill the paper tray fully,

Had the same problem with LBP5000. Used the Cleaning Utility(Options/Cleaning) in the printer software, had to run it several times, the shadow did not go away the first time. Looks all right now.
Hope this helps.

My is not working & shows an error code B200.

FLASHING ORANGE LIGHT ERROR MESSAGES

Try counting the number of orange flashes.
* two flashes means you’re out of paper or the paper is not feeding correctly.
* three flashes means there is a paper Jam or the output tray is closed.
* four flashes means the ink tank is empty
* five flashes means the print head is not installed correctly or not installed or is defective (before buying a new print head always try the cleaning instructions at the end of this post first.)
* six flashes means the inner cover is open or not closed properly.
* seven flashes means you counted wrong.....
* eight flashes means the waste ink absorber is almost full or full.
* nine flashes mean that a digital camera or video that is connected is not compatible with the printer. If a specific amount of time lapses without getting a response from the digital camera or video camcorder this will happen.
* ten flashes means it can not print to both sides of the page
* eleven flashes means the automatic print head alignment failed. (this can be caused by low ink levels, ink tanks not being installed correctly, the print heads being clogged. It can also be caused by the paper output slot being exposed to a strong light source (Press the resume /cancel button and move the printer to a darker location and try to align the print head again.
* check to make sure the lock lever is correctly positioned (down)
If the above does not work, align the print head manually by opening the printer properties dialog box and clicking the maintenance tab and then select the print heal alignment button on the left side, second row down.

Lbp5000 two sides print

LBP5000 doesn't have a duplexer for automatic double sided printing, so it's maual duplex.

You have to print on one side, then put the paper in the paper tray again. Take note of the pictogram that shows a printed page with the corner turned over, this indicates wich way you put the paper in (for the print you are about to make, not what is already on the paper)

Load Paper indicator problem - Canon LBP5000

You should have a cancel button on the printer press that and hit cancel job. if that does not fix it unplug the printer for a few min and it will clear. make sure when you send an envelope to one of these you select the right paper type and "manual feed" in your printer options so you do not cause this again.

Canon IP4600 won't feed from rear tray.

It turns out that if you read the documentation VERY carefully it says that "if the application program specifies 8.5x11 plain paper and that is what is loaded in the front cassette you cannot print from the rear tray". It turns out that this is true even if you go to the printer driver and specify "rear tray" manually. The driver disregards the setting. You can force printing plain paper from the rear tray by going to the Canon "My Printer" icon and forcing ALL printing from the rear tray. If you do this, remember to change it back. You can also print plain paper from the rear tray if you specify the "allocation" option and the paper from the front cassette runs out. You can always print from the rear tray if the application that created the print job specifies something other than 8.5x11 without resorting to the forced override, e.g. printing a .jpg or .gif or something from an application like Paintshop or Printshop, etc.

I would first try to see that your paper trays are set correctly. Meanning that the paper size are set to the same paper size in the tray. The knobs that input the paper size Magicly they move. Also, make sure that you clear out all the print jobs in the print "Q". Some body may have a odd paper size tring to print. Also, has anyone chaged anything on your network or the setting in the copier?
