Hi, i have an ac925efy delonghi microwave oven, i bought it manufacturer refurbished and when i switched it on there was a big bang and a flash. it came from what looked to be the back top right hand...

From your description it is the magnetron that heats the food that has gone, I suggest that you take it back for a refund, because if you decide to fix it the repairs will run you more than what the microwave oven is worth.

Sanyo microwave not heating. Light on at top rigt hand corner

Unfortunately when the microwave stops heating and everything else still works, this means your magnetron shorted out. The magnetron is the part that heats the food and also is the most expensive part. It is almost cheaper to buy a new microwave and taking into account the hassle of replacing the magnetron, I recommend just getting a new microwave. Let me know if you need anything else.

Microwave won't heat or turn off unless I press the door

That would be a loose door switch mount, a failing door switch, or both.

See our file on door switch help here.
