Is there a "lock" position on on the 3 leg spread of this tripod?

-Providing that the image shown is the tripod you own..., the top leg lock levers on each leg is designed to lock the spreader angle of each leg.
-If this is not holding the leg at the correct angle...., either you are putting more weight on it than it was designed to hold..., or the 'cam' on the various locks has worn.
-A 'stop gap' fix for this problem is to insert a very thin wedge between the lever & the leg tube..., thus providing a greater amount of pressure on the tube, (this would need to be done every time the tripod is set up).
-Replacement parts are not available for this tripod & they were not designed to be user serviceable ...., sorry!!!

I am looking for Robo Toollz, Inc. home corporate office current address. Can you tell me where to find it?

ROBOTOOLZ. INC.

ROBOTOOLZ. INC. was a corporation registered in the state of California.

It was a domestic corporation, meaning it was formed, as well as registered, in California. Its articles of incorporation were filed on June 18, 1998.

All of ROBOTOOLZ. INC.'s powers, rights and privileges in the State of California have been suspended. This could have happened because they failed to file a return and/or pay taxes to the California Franchise Tax Board, or because they failed to make certain informational filings with the California Secretary of State. The specific reason for this suspension can be found by ordering a status report from the Secretary of State.

ROBOTOOLZ. INC. was a for-profit entity.

Looking for quick release camera mount for ambico v-0552

Try www.TripodQuickRelease.com for that part. There is listed the widest selection of quick releases and support more brands than any other web site I've seen. Because your tripod is not supported by the manufacturer; parts lists and pars are not available, you should measure the opening and see what other brand quick releases will work paying attention to the shape and locking mechanism. Otherwise just get another tripod.

Cannot unscrew leg for unipod off with plastic piece included.

I carefully used a needle nose lock pliers on the plastic part with channel locks on tripod leg and was able to loosen the part.

Base plate release lock

gavinobrien2,
Hopefully the camera isn't mounted. If the plate is bound because it is misaligned if may take some serious twisting. If it was cranked really tight just back it off carefully, you shouldn't need any type of lubricant or solvent based for seized or rusted metal parts, the release is sort of a cam it can get dust, grit or decal residue that might cause it to be tough to open. If the camera isn't a factor you can spray some compressed air (the can type for computers) which is super cold, directly on the cam to shrink it slightly then give it a crank - wear gloves and don't spray your fingers it can freeze your skin. If you are not comfortable doing that take it in to a camera shop and they may just do it for you. (tip - establish a good relationship with a reputable local camera shop by supporting them and buying your equipment from them, they know you and are willing to help with what they can or suggest the right equipment for you)
