Hi, this is not necessarily anything actually wrong, it is usually an error code given when there is either an unstable network connection, heavy network traffic or even the channel used on your router. If you can, go to your routers settings and try changing the wireless channel that it is on. Give it a little time before trying to connect again.

If the problem persists, give Nintendo a call but I am pretty sure it shouldn't come to that.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa

Code 61070 comes up on Animal Crossing will not connect to internet

Hi there!
Usually when you get a 61070 error code on the wii this means that the Nintendo servers
may be trying to handle an unusually high amount of traffic (especially if you are trying to play online with a recently-released or popular game, or if there is a new Wii system update). You could retry connecting to the internet later.

If you have waited a few hours and are still experiencing issues, try the following:
  1. How are you connecting online? The Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is only compatible with Cable, DSL, and Fiber-optic internet connections. If you are connecting via Satellite, EV-DO (cellular), Dial-up, or other types of connections, then you should try to use an alternate type of connection. Contact your Internet Service Provider if you are not sure what type of internet connection you have.
  2. The error may be caused by a basic setting on the router that needs to be adjusted (such as the channel). You can do this here: general router troubleshooting.
  3. Some games may need certain settings on your router enabled or disabled to allow a successful connection with other players. This can include UDP and firewall settings that will vary from router to router. You can view their router pages by clicking here. If your router is listed, check to see if there are any special notes that may help.
If there are still problems with connecting to the internet after you have tried these techniques, please call 1-800-255-3700.

Wii wireless connction has error code 51040

rror Code: 51040 Please try the following troubleshooting for the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector
  1. Verify that the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector is installed correctly and that the PC is turned on (the USB Connector will not work while the PC is turned off).
  2. Try our interference troubleshooting steps.

  3. Are you using any security programs (firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-adware, etc.)? If so, you may need to add the Nintendo USB Registration Tool software to a list of "allowed" programs or "exceptions." If this is unavailable, you may need to disable yousecurity program before the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector can access our servers. See Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector "Firewall troubleshooting" for more information.
  4. Try uninstalling the Nintendo Wi-FI USB Connector software, and installing the newest version. To get uninstalling instructions and the latest version of the software, please click here.

Please note that your wii console has a lower internet signal (less bars) and you must get a little closer to connect. Or your wii must have another problem i cant solve.
