The BICU cannot correctly establish
communication with the SBU.

Showing the code Sc-144 on display and not working the machine model m-1500
If restarting the machine with the main power switch (red switch), or by unplugging it, then you have a defective circuit board (either BICU or SBU) -and you'll definitely need a technician

Ricoh aficio 2027
SC542 is a warm up error from the fuser.

SC 870 is an address book error.

Turn the power off on the copier. Wait 30 seconds and then turn the power back on. See if it goes away.
