Unless you have a high voltage probe that can measure up to 2000v, you will more likely blow up your meter input circuits, firing voltage for CCFL is from 1500~2000v, running voltage is about 500~800v.
How do the DC filter caps look, that will be the first thing to check? Do you have 12vdc feeding the inverter circuits?
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Chimei cmv933a no power

Do you see anyting on the screen when you shine a flashlight on it? It could be the inverters or the power supply. They can fail without any outward signs of something being wrong. Check the capacitors for bulges and leaks.

I have a 19" cmv

How old is it? If it still under warranty get it repaired, it sounds like the switch is gone or the energy saving s/w inside is bad and is not detecting when/when not to turn the display on/off.

Unplug TV will come on.cannot turn TV on

Hi, please chech does the screen of your TV lights up?during power on?if not then there might be a problem on the inverter board and the backlight lamp of the monitor .The lamp is a cold cathode bulb it requires a high voltage supply from the inverter board in order to light up.just like any other bulb this lamp has a limited life span more or less 2 years of continues lit.The inverter board is a high voltage board the power input of this board is 24volts DC and the output is 200volts AC.The terminal input of this board or connectors must be check because of high voltage corrosion and loose connections always happen that leads to the mal function of the display or screen failure just like what happen to your TV.
Backlight lamp is installed at the top and bottom of the screen you need to open the back cover of your TV to check up the lamp.(make sure to unplug the TV before proceeding)..check first the test point that I mentioned then post back for your findings then will proceed to further trouble shooting.
I hope this will be helpfull to you. GOOD LUCK!

I have exactly same problem

Sound like your display is having issues with the inverter board. When the power supply detects a short circuit, it turn off by itself. When you try several times, you may be able to "bypass" the circuit protection but the damaged parts still having problems. This issue may be related with the DELL display issues.

The display needs to be fixed by someone with experience in electronics repair.

LG L1717S has no light

Hi, this is a common problem. One thing you want to observe is that the screen works, what's going on is that the screen LCD illumination doesn't work while the screen display is active. LCD's have screen lamps behind the screen, they are often called CCFL, (Cold Cathode Flouroscent Lamps). The inverter board in the monitor supplies High Voltage power to the lampls, so the colored wires should lead you to the lamps. This is the problem causing the screen to dark. You can research the model lamp type for an accurate replacement. Usually there are 4 or 6 lamps in LCD Monitors.

Elongated desktop and software screen images

Many graphic cards enable you to rotate the screen up to 360 degrees. You could try to post this question again under you graphic card model instead of computer screen model as it is your graphic card that is certainly the problem.
