How do I heat frozen meat pies in my Sharp convection grill microwave appliance?

Hello, Derek -

Is the Sharp Convection Grill Microwave either model R-820JS or R-820BC? If so . . .

The cooking directions begin on Page 24 of the Operation Manual.

If you do not have the manual, you can find it as a PDF document (Adobe Reader software needed - free) to download for free here:
http://kitchen.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/sharp/r820js_r820bc_1.html

The cooking instructions start on Image 27 of the PDF document and run through Image 30 (Page 26.)

I would choose the convection cooking temperature for either Frozen Convenience Foods or Pies, Frozen Prepared.

Best wishes.

Since this morning my fridge has been very loud and is getting louder. It sounds like the fan to me as its not constant and it stops when I open the door. Is it the fan? Is this something I fix this...

I remember happening to us many years ago. The cause was accumulated dirt and loose insulation material interfering with the fan blades. The solution was to unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet, move the unit to enable reach from the back, unscrew the screws holding the back cover located at the bottom area (made of kind of cardboard), with the vacuum cleaner thin long nose attachment clean anything that looks dirty the best you can reach. Look for the fan and check nothing is interfering with it. Clean it, use a thin brush the best you can. Be careful not to hurt yourself scratching a finger or break anything bumping around cleaning. Some refrigerators design allows to reach the condenser panel (kind of a radiator or grilled looking component), if you can clean that too it will get your unit working efficiency back to maximum.

Another cause for noise could be the freezer fan hitting frozen condensate caused when the door gasket is deteriorated or not sealing well (humidity seeps in and freezes interfering with the fan operation). While you are at it look for any freezer stuff (content) sticking into the freezer fan cover and touching the fan, that may make noise too. Good luck.

The oven will turn on and get warm (not up to set temp)not as hot as it should. I no longer hear the forced air noise from the fan/blower from the back of the oven? It will not cook food, in the time frame...

is your power setting up allthe way (10) is it a convection oven also? microwaves dont usualy have a temp. setting unless there is a probe pluged in inside oven to a jack on inside wall of microwave microwaves can also get old and lose power if so you can get cheep ones at wallmart

Vent fan noise

I'd say the bearings are getting dry. I'd hit it with a a drop of 3-in-1 oil or sewing machine oil. If you don't have the owner's manual, you can download one here: http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/literature/ It's also possible that the keeper which holds the fan blade assembly may be broken or loose. That could cause the fan to slip and rub. Either way it will have to be disassembled to a degree, probably starting with removal of the grille. Exploded views of this model may be helpful. They can be found at this site: http://www.geappliances.com/shop/prts/ Under 1 select "Repair Part", under 2 select "Microwave" and click "Go". A window will pop up and you'll enter your (complete) model number. Good luck.

Fan coming on unexpectedly

Frannie, this is the way the oven is designed. There is a thermostat in there that is normally open. The thermostat will close at approx. 140 degrees and start the fan. When the temps. cool to about 104 degrees the thermostat will open again and the fan will shut off. Catriver..post back.
