Generic problem for all Kitchen Ranges

I purchased a ge profile glass cooktop. The unit has the "Bridge" element. I would like to purchase a grill/gridle. The only one that I have found is Cast Iron. Can cast iron be used on this cooktop. From what I read in the literature that came with the cooktop stainless steel is recommended.

Guruyes it can they recomend ss for the speed of heating no reason not to use iron if that is the preferance
