- i thought i wouldn't have to go through any tuning steps if my tv was sony. Tried to look online for troubleshooting tips but can't seem to find any. The manual says refer to the 'table of codes' which dosn't seem to be one. If you could help somehow that would be great. Not sure how you can. But it would be very much appreciated. Lusiano- oijules

Follow these steps to program the remote control.code for NEC:(003, 012)
- Turn on the component to be programmed.
- On the remote control, press and hold the S button.
- While holding the S button, press and release the POWER button
- Release the S button.
- Press and release the appropriate component button for the component being set up.
- Using the number pad, enter the component's manufacturer code. NOTE: If more than one code number is listed for the manufacturer, repeat the procedure, entering one code at a time until you find one that works.
- Press the ENT button.
- Point the remote control at the component.
- Press the POWER button to verify operation.
