Hello

there is two STK packs in your TV, this is what controls your convergence,it should be two big IC on big heatsink and number should start with STK- ______,just replace these STK packs and you can order these from matelectronics.com. Parts should be somewhere around $30 and also make sure that resistors around stk packs don't look like they been hot if they look like they been hot just replace them too, and your TV will be working fine.

Thankyou

Try going into the video section of your menu, and pressing RESET on your remote control. If this doesn't fix it, try your quick start guide for setting the convergence and focus.

Arched pink lines across screen. Now green and pink double stacked wording.

Projection sets have two very common problems.

The first common problem is convergence

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get more information and a DIY convergenece repair kit with instructions from the link below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound

Problem #2 - Another common problem is dull or washed out video.

Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....

*Dull looking picture
*White looking picture
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking picture

Sony KP-57WS510 57 inch rear projection - Rainbow colors and arching

Same thing happened to me. I had to get it fixed. They said it was a "tube".

Now, my problem (7 months after getting it fixed) is that it suddenly seems a lot dimmer. I'm not 100% sure, and was wondering if there was some kind of diagnostic to run to find out for sure.
