First, make sure you unplug your dryer and disconnect exhaust hose, then lay dryer face down and there are screw around the outside edge of the dryer, remove all of the screws and remove cover completely awy from dryer. that will expose all of the replaceable components. i hope this will help..

Kenmore 80 series dryer is making a loud screaching grinding noise what could be the problem

Kenmore (Sears) dryers are usually manufactured by Whirlpool. The rear of the drum rides on 2 lower rubber rollers that go bad with age. Those rollers may need replaced. There is also a felt seal strip attached to the rear of the drum that rides the back wall of the dryer that may need replaced. Can only tell for sure by disassembling the dryer and checking.

Need to replace the heating element in my Kenmore Elite Model 11062942100
Hello tarkington, here is a parts diagram to start with. To replace the heating element, all you really need to do is take out the old one, and hook up the new one. It's that easy. Here is a video to help you with disassembly if needed.

And finally a video of a heater element being replaced. It's not exact to your model, but it might help.
I hope that you find this helpful. I will be more than happy to help if you need any further assistance.

No heat

Thermal fuse (should read zero ohms on an ohmmeter).

Thermostat (yours has a combination type, both terminals opposite of each other should read zero ohms.

Heating element. You will probably see broken coils if this is bad.

This is not difficult to repair, but requires disassembling of dryer front, removal of drum and belt, an ohmmeter and screwdrivers, and small socket wrench set.
