Wont turn on after reset

The iPod Touch has a battery capable of up to 40 hours of audio playback, but depending on how you use your iPod, the battery capacity can vary widely. If you attempt to turn your iPod on and get no result, the battery could be fully drained, which you can easily resolve by connecting it to your computer to recharge it. If this doesn't work, resetting or restoring your iPod may get it working once again.

Charge Connect your iPod Touch to your computer using the USB cable that came with it and charge it for at least 10 minutes before attempting to use it again. If the battery is fully drained, the screen may remain blank for a few minutes after plugging it in, and then a low battery image will appear, indicating that you shouldn't unplug it for at least 10 minutes. Never plug your iPod into your keyboard, but rather into the computer itself. Also make sure your computer is on and not in sleep mode while your iPod is charging, or the battery may drain rather than charge. Reset b> If recharging your iPod doesn't resolve the issue, reset it while it remains connected to your computer. Push the "Sleep/Wake" button and the "Home" button simultaneously until the battery symbol or the Apple logo appears. This takes about 10 seconds. Continue to charge your iPod if the low battery image appears after the reset. Restore b> If your iPod Touch still isn't responding, restore it in recovery mode. First, place your iPod in recovery mode by disconnecting it from the USB cable, and then press and hold the "Home" and "Sleep/Wake" buttons simultaneously until the iPod turns off. Push the "Home" button once again, and continue to hold it while you re-connect your iPod to your computer using the USB cable. Continue holding the "Home" button while the iPod turns on and release it only when the "Connect to iTunes" screen appears. Open iTunes, and click "OK" when the recovery mode alert appears. ITunes will restore your iPod back to factory settings. You'll be able to sync it with iTunes to recover the data you lost during the restore, provided you have synced with iTunes in the recent past. Check Liquid Contact Indicators b> All iPods manufactured since 2006 have built-in liquid contact indicators. If your iPod has been in contact with liquid, this could be the source of your problem. You can check whether the liquid contact indicators have been triggered by looking straight down the headphone jack on your iPod. If you see red or pink at the bottom of the headphone jack, your iPod has been in contact with liquid, and this is likely the cause of its malfunction. Contact an authorized Apple repair center to inquire about whether a repair is possible. Such repairs aren't covered under your iPod's warranty. iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2771 iOS: Unable to update or restore http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

How do I find if my iPod touch battery is dead?

When the iPod touch battery dies, you cannot do anything with the device. You will receive a warning on the screen of the iPod touch, when 5 percent of the battery turns on the device. Connect the device to a power source as soon as possible to load and prevent the battery goes dead. When the battery dies, the unit will shut down and will be connected to a power and charged before you can use

1. Press the iPod touch "Sleep / Wake" button, located along the upper side of the machine. If your iPod does not care, this is an indicator that the battery is dead.

2. Connect a charging cable to charge your iPod and connect the USB cable to a power of high power. High-power USB ports directly on your computer tower or, if the hardware usually found in the tower on the monitor, the monitor itself. The iPod touch screen shows a big red battery icon on the far left of the icon, indicating that the battery was empty.

3. Press the "Sleep / Wake" to see if the iPod is connected. If so, check the battery life, looking at the battery icon in the upper right corner of the screen. When the icon appears white, the battery is full when the icon is half black, the battery is almost dead, and if the battery is almost dead, you will receive a warning. If the iPod does not start, the battery is completely dead. In this case, your iPod into electronics store and have the battery replaced.
My ipod wont shuffle anymore

How to Fix an iPod Shuffle That Won't Turn On

Things You'll Need:

* iPod Shuffle iPod USB cable Power adapter

The iPod Shuffle is the smallest member of Apple's line of MP3 players. During the device's lifetime, you may find that the iPod freezes or seems to not turn on anymore. Since the iPod Shuffle does not have a display attached to it, you cannot be notified of any device errors. However, there are several troubleshooting steps you can take to repair your iPod.

Instructions

Plug the iPod USB cable into the iPod Shuffle and then connect it to the power adapter to recharge the iPod's battery. The iPod Shuffle may not be turning on because its battery has fully drained.

Move the button on the back of the iPod Shuffle to the "off" position.

Wait five seconds with the iPod in "off" mode before switching the device back on. This process will reset the iPod Shuffle memory.

Connect the iPod Shuffle to your Mac or PC computer if it still will not turn on.

Open the iTunes program and sync your iPod with your computer. When you unplug your iPod from your computer, it should turn on normally again.

Hope it helped.

Have a nice day.

My son got ahold of my iphone last night and changed the passcode on it and now he doesnt remember what it was. and i tried turning it off but it wont even turn off i need help please! thank you! :)

Your iPod most likely has now been disabled.
Step 1: Connect your iPod to your computer with the USB cable that came with the iPod.
Step 2: Open up iTunes and scroll down on the left side of the screen
Step 3: Choose your iPod, your right screen should now change to show some general information about your iPod.
Step 4: Scroll down on the right side of the screen until you see a button labeled "Restore". Click it, and it will unlock your iPod and reset it. This will wipe everything off of your iPod, but will sync it back with whatever you have in your iTunes library.

When I Connect My Ipod Touch 8gb To My Computer It Wont Turn On And I Didnt Charge It For Like A Month What Should I Do Please Help Me!!!

You are right, it doesn't have enough power to turn on because the battery was drained. You're saying that it wont charge? It could only be the USB cable problem. Try to use a different iPod USB cable and check if it charges the iPod. Another thing is try to charge the iPod using the stand alone USB charger. Your iPod requires high power input. If that doesn't work, you may start to think that it is a battery failure.

1. Plug the iPod into the primary computer linked to that iPod, the first computer you synchronized it with unless you have designated another computer as the primary computer.
2. Open iTunes and sync the iPod as normal.
3. Remove the iPod, following the normal removal procedure. The iPod unlocks automatically as you remove it.

IPOD Touch wont connect to internet?

Some troubleshooting techniques for this problem would be to connect to another network, maybe your neighbor's (one without a password) and connect back to your network, it could also be a problem with your router/modem even though it shows a full signal, try reconnecting your router or modem.. Whether this works or not, try using the "Easy Wi-Fi" app, its free, download it from the app store, and set it up, it could help in getting a signal or maintaining it. This is a common issue, and sometimes with the ipod touch it may connect and disconnect from the internet. If your computers or other devices are having the same problem you may want to consult your service provider. Hope I helped
