Screwdriver bit is stuck in chuck

Hello, W/D here.
Spray some penetrating oil in the chuck alongside the bit. Work the chuck back and forth, attempting to get a little slack in the chuck. Rapping along the side of the chuck with a plastic hammer will help, but use a regular hammer if you don't have a plastic one, just don't hit quite as hard. Tap the bit to loosen it, and continue to tap along the chuck, working back to the bit every so often. Eventually, the bit will release, and you have already lubricated the jaws of the chuck. Operate the chuck fully once the bit is released to free up the jaws. It will work like new.
Best regards, --W/D--

How do i remove the bit from the drill

There are to parts to the chuck. You hold the ring at the edge of the chuck from turning, and then you turn the part after that, ccw to release.

Ds14dmr cannot get the chuck screw to release I am aware it is left handed thread

If the chuck is too tight to get the bit out you can either put a glove on one hand grab the chuck and run the drill in the reverse direction or if that will not work use vise grips or a small pipe wrench on the chuck to loosen it but be sure to tape the pipe wrench or vise grips with a thin piece of duct tape so you don't gouge the drill chuck.

I am trying to use a portable rotary tool but i can't remove the drill bit that's already on it, there isn't a reverse button on the tool so i am at a loss for how to remove it. can you help me?

You have a wrench that fits the chuck and a stop button that locks the shaft, loosen that chuck up and pull out the old bit, if it is frozen or rusted, try poking it against something solid, make it go in to break it loose, then pull out the bit. If that doesn't work, soak it in blaster or some other penetrating oil, then try the same again. Hope this helps.

I have a broken drill bit stuck in a B&D BD154R chuck It is broken off low down so I can't get a pair of pliers on it. What can I do?

If it won't fall out with the chuck fully open, you'll have to remove the chuck. use an allen wrench larger than the jammed bit and lock it into the chuck. Hit the allen wrench with a soft hammer to loosen the chuck. Remove chuck completely and push the bit out from the bottom.

I can't loosen the part where the drill bit goes in. It's stuck!

Try using a large wrench to turn the chuck. It may loosen enough to release the bit

Chuck will not release bit

Hi,

the Chuck should be 2 Part.

Use 2 pair of stillsons Or pipe wrenches, Tight On the 2 Chuck Parts, Crack in opposite Directions.

Alternative, Use Wrench On Chuck Jaw, Short sharp Blow With Hammer.
