Brush Motor Replacement

Hello,

The product that I actually have is a Bissell ProHeat 2X Model 8920, but I keep getting a message stating that this is not a valid product number. I guess that it is a few years old. I wouldn't think that there is that much difference between what I have and what I entered below.

My brush motor stopped working. I ordered another and I am attempting to replace it, but have run into some issues. I can not get the pulley off of the shaft. How do you remove the belt pulley from the brush motor shaft?

Thank You.

This the number for the brush roll motor, 2036757, is it the one you got? I don't remember having to remove the pulley, I am thinking that the pulley is on the new motor. The 8920 is a good number? Where you on the Bissell site, or some other site.

Hello, this is Ava with Think Crucial.

You may need to clean your roller brush first and try to see if this would resolve the issue. If not, then most likely your roller brush needs to be replaced.

You may order replacement parts for your Bissell directly to us. This is our Bissell replacement parts: http://www.thinkcrucial.com/collections/vacuums/collection-filter-fits-vacuum-bissell

Sorry for the delay, the end of the motor shaft is notched, so there must be a C or E clip to take off, then the pully will come off.

Bissell Proheat 2x Series 8920 - Brush Belt Metal Shaft Sprocket won't turn

Most likely the brush motor is bad and not turning, part #2036757, would sell for around $23. To get to it, start taking out screws on the top cover, that motor is under the that top access cover.
