Question about Honeywell Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

We had a brand new unit put in a couple of years back. When it was installed it worked. Once winter came, it obviously was turned off. Then the following summer, it would turn on but just blow air, would not cool at all- so the unit installers came out and repaired it. It worked through the summer, then the following summer-it wouldnt cool again-they came back out and fixed it again. Third summer in a row-it is not working again!! A friend told me this morning, on new units there is a reset button. Is this true?

I have RUUD furnace with build in coil for air conditioner and Weather King compressor outside of my condo. ALL EQUIPMENT IS 4 YEARS OLD I didn't have any problem with heat at winter, but in summe

When you remove the panel to the unit it turns off the power to it. The reinstalling the panel will reconnect power and allow the unit to reset. So the cheapest and easiest thing you can try is to replace the thermostat. Make sure you see how many wires you have connected to your existing tstat and buy near the same thing. It's possible that the tstat is acting up, not allowing the unit to cool when the temp demands. And turning off power is resetting the tstat as well as the unit. It will be hard to troubleshoot with the info provided so a new tstat will be worth a shot. Hope this helps!

I tried to turn on my air coditioning today for the first time this year and my Totaline Themostat P474-1050 won't turn on. Worked fine during the winter and last summer.

the thermostat is powered by the unit or batteries if batteries they may be dead if the unit you need to check fuses outside at unit or reset breaker outside depending on age of installation

Cant get the mower to run after the prime is gone...any thoughts

Sounds like you will need to clean your carburetor.
Sometimes you can get by with priming the carburetor a few times, and letting it run a few times like that and it will flush the gunk out of the jets, but most of the time you will need to rebuild the carburetor.
If the mower/weedeater is over a couple years old, then I also recommend that you buy and install a new carburetor repair kit, because the diaphragm will get hard and that will cause it to be hard to crank.
When you clean your carburetor and remove the jet screws, You will first seat the jet screws and count the number of turns it takes to seat the jets from their original position.
That way when you go to put the jets back in, you know how many turns they were in/out.
Please do not forget to rate me,
Thanks
Good Luck,
I hope this helped

Sounds like you will need to clean your carburetor.
Be sure to use compressed air to blow out all fuel and air passages.

Fan won't reverse though it has before

It could be 1 of 3 things. 1) Receiver unit, 2) Sender (Remote), 3) Motor. For my brand new ceiling fan it turned out it was the motor.

Frige will not cool, have installed a t-stat. appears to have power to th eeye brow board. also installed a new coolant unit 3 years ago. the fridge worked whenput up for the winter but had to tap on the...

If you mean that you installed a compressor or put refrigerant in it, the unit that is, it could have a small leak and when you "put it up for the winter" it leaked out. When refrigerant is under pressure and on it will barely leak out if you have a small leak. They can go without a charge for a long time, but when you turn them off if they have a leak it will all leak out. Make sure you compressor is on and running. Once you put a refrigerator in service it is not really wise to "put them in storage." If you can keep from putting it in storage it would be better to leave them running at a little higher temperature setting. You won't be getting in and out of the unit as much because you won't be there to use it so it will not use as much electricity, but they are ment to stay plugged in and running once they are put into service.

Cooktop burner problem

Your plumber should know that the pipe service your cooker must be of a suitable size. Normal half inch pipe is only good for a couple of small burners. Most installations require one inch! There is a simple formulae for working out the flow rate of the gas. Your gas installer will know it.
