I did a hard reset on my Palm Tungsten E2 and now it will not leave the calibration screen. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks, Edwin

Is this the only method that will rectify this solution?

Hello.

I've experienced this many times with my E2.

What I would suggest is to disconnect and reconnect the wires from the battery.

Here is a link to replace the battery. Just disconnecting and reconnecting is all you need (Follow steps 1 - 5, 9 and 10 and you won't need the glue).

Hope this helps.

Although it may sound challenging, it's really a simple solution. Remove the screws and pry open the Palm. Disconnect and reconnect the battery and replace the cover and screws.

This calibration issue occurred many times when I owned my E2 and I found that resetting the battery resolved the issue. Honestly, the first time is the most difficult.

Of course, Edwin. If you follow the steps (remember, you only need to do steps 1 - 5, 9 and 10), you'll be fine. Later on, if you need to, you'll be able to replace the battery with ease.

Frozen Blank Screen - soft reset doesn't work.... Do NOT want to do hard reset because all my data will be lost and it is my life line. I am panicking. Please help!

If you back up all your data on your desktop it will be restored with your next hotsync after the hard reset. I recommend the hard reset but if you really don't want to try that they I suggest you try using the free palm chat. Here is the link for that. Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see palm Chat. Click on the link that says chat now and follow the prompts. Best wishes.

My palm e2 screen brings a frozen screen even after reset and no button whatsoever works, it can reset but freezes on the screen again, that is 0 alerts. even the power button does not work, only reset,...

You can try doing a hard reset. A hard reset will delete everything on your device. All your data will be deleted, and formats, preferences and other settings are restored to their factory default settings. Don't perform a hard reset unless you've backed up your data, or you're willing to lose everything. Here is the link for directions for the Hard Reset:

Palm one is in trouble because of problems like this. They don't work on it but you can buy parts to try it yourself. I never had the problem myself but similar conditions. I do windows based units now.

you gotta do a hard reset. i had the same problem. go to the palmone website and look up how. make sure you back your stuff up in case you can't get things back. once you perform the hard reset the error should go away.

Damaged screen

Try a hard reset and if that doesn't work, drain your battery then recharge it. if that doesn't work than you'll just have to deal with it. I have a Palm Tungsten E2 and it has the same problem
