I would recommend a different brand memory card. Not all cars seem to work the same. Some camera's are touch when it comes to cards. Try once more to do a full format of the card inside the camera. Make sure the card is unlocked. If it happens again, try a different brand card.

When i remove the sd card to upload photos to my computer my new pictures are not there but are when the sd card is in the camera?

There are two possibilities that I can think of. 1) The SD card is full. You will need to copy the pictures off the SD card and onto your computer, then format the card. You can probably do this in the camera, but MAKE SURE you have copied the pictures you want to your computer because the format will erase everything. 2) The SD card is write protected. Look closely at the SD card there is a little slide switch that "locks" the SD card so that your camera cannot put any pictures on it. This slide switch must be in the unlocked position (or NOT locked).
Hope this helps.

O.K.,I assume you use two SD cards, take out the one in the camera, put a blank one in the camera, and bring the one that was in the camera home to review pics on your PC...unless you have a laptop you carry to the field with you.Either case, you viewed SD card and nothing...switch on side of card pushed forward toward contacts?Always deleted pics using camera's delete function..NEVER DELETE USING PC;NEVER FORMAT USING PC;...
Moultrie says to only use high quality SD's...recommend Sandisk or Lexar...I never had problems with any SD as long as I stay with name brands...I find I have accidently moved write protect switch; deleted before thought from PC...or PC says card needs formatting before use...DON'T..this is just PC not recognizing card's format..try different cards, they do get corrupted...make sure card insertion slot is free of debris...blow it out with contact cleaner/duster,ect....then the M80 has a software upgrade from www.moultriefeeders.com.

This should do it for you: Insert the SD card into your laptop or computer. In the SD card go to "New Folder" name that folder "DCIM" in the "DCIM" folder create a new folder. This one you will name "101KC190" (I'm pretty sure you have the Kodak Easyshare 190, correct?) Now, transfer all of your pictures into "101KC190." Insert the SD into your camera and it should work. email me if you need to kylejwoody@hotmail.com

Worked good at first but now it takes pics but in a format nothing can read. Computer says sd card needs to be reformatted when trying to view pics.

If you need to recover the pictures, you can search around for image recovery software. I think there may be some decent free software or you may have to pay for a program to do it.
(This is one I found after a minute of poking around http://download.cnet.com/Art-Plus-Digital-Photo-Recovery/3000-12511_4-10513647.html?tag=contentMain;contentBody;1d)

If you don't care about the pictures that are on there, just re-format the card. You can probably do this in windows by right-clicking the card and selecting 'Format...' or in the camera (probably in the menu under tools or system or something - check your manual).

If you format the card and still have problems, either the camera or the card is defective and you should have someone look at them.

It's a good idea to format the card from time to time to prevent this kind of thing from happening. I usually shoot until the card is more than half full, then copy the pics to my computer, then reformat when I put it back in the camera.

I got a pentax E10 i put a 1gig s card in an i can only take 258 pics and it is a 6mp camera and if i put the same sd card in an other camera it takes 550 pics what could that be

The other camera could be recording pictures with a smaller size and/or higher data compression.

You're getting 250 pictures on a 1GB card. That's about 4MB per picture, which is a bit on the large side but not completely out of line.

Unable to view pics

Copy the existing photos on to your PC, switch off the camera. Remove the SD card and format the SD-card using a SD-card reader, this will clear all the card contents. Now try using it in your Camera again. Ideally, you should be able to save photos on this SD card. Other way would be to insert another SD card into your camera and click photos and check whether those photos are being saved into the SD card(this can be done using display option in your digicam.)

Memory card says it needs to be formatted but i have pics on it and I need them..please help I will be waiting!

I had the same problem with my 4Gb card that has 750 photos on it. I tried doing different things, however, it did not work. At last I took the card out and blew on its chips, gave it a good shake and put it back. Then, the miracle happened. It could read all my photos. I guess there was some dust that had accumulated on the chips at the back of the card. Hope it can help you, too.

SD card

Try formatting the card first. You can use another camera, or a computer with card reader for this. On a pc right-click on the card in My Computer and choose format. On a Mac, hold control and click on the card in Finder and choose format. Try it in the camcorder again. Also, some card speeds or sizes might not work in your camera. ie - 1gig or higher. Try a smaller card. Check your manual, check the manufacturer's web site, or go to google groups.
