My Samsung notebook has been sitting unused for about 9 months. Today I charged the battery and turned it on. It is making a buzzing sound and seems to heat up near the front of the keyboard. What is wrong?

If the buzzing sound is near the vents then the fan could be faulty (not spinning) and the CPU is heating up. When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (ie thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is the problem and the fan is not replaces the CPU will eventually fail

It wont start! replaced the battery just today it is hooked up my right, but i get nothing but lights and gages. it wont even turn over to start. it makes a buzzing sound but nothing happens

The buzzing sound is coming from the relay on the system .

The problem you have is caused by either a low charge on the battery, corroded battery connections, or a faulty battery cable. You may have a new battery but it may be well down on power. Get a battery charger, disconnect the new battery and charge the battery slowly for 12 hours or so and retry. Also make sure your cable connections at the battery are perfectly clean and free of corrosion and are firmly clamped to the battery terminals.

I have a Yamaha Vstar Classic-650. When i try to start it all i get is a buzzing sound. The bike has been sitting for a few months, but I have always been able to start it up from except for now... can...

The buzzing is caused by a flat battery. or dirty corroded battery terminals.
If the battery is a few years old and has been sitting for a while it often pays to get a new one.
Running a less than perfect battery and or jump starting may cause other problems as it may overstress the charging system.

Engine wont turn over at start

Hi, Do you have an alarm & Immobiliser fitted on your bike as these drain the battery on your bike very quickly? If so i would recommend removing your battery and fully charging it with a decent amp-age charger. If you have your garage attached to your house then i would definitely recommend purchasing a trickle charger and when not using your bike keep this plugged into the mains and you should not have this problem again. all motorbike shops sell these chargers If after this the battery goes flat again i would suggest purchasing a new battery. This is a common fault as most motorbikes sit in the garage through the winter months and if not kept on charge will deteriorate. Hope this helps.

My car has been sitting unused for 2 months and it won't start even when I have tried to jump-start it. when there is not another car hooked up to it it doesn't do anything and then I am trying to jump...

Try charging the battery first. Hook up to another vehicle and let them sit connected for about 10 minutes. Afterwards, then try starting it. If that makes any difference at all...keep charging. If theres no difference, replace the battery.

Dead battery making a clicking sound

take the battery out of the veh and see if it will charge overnight on a charger, if not then the bat just ran its course I doubt it is 11 years old. Bats last anywhere from 3 to 5 years then they die if it does charge then your alternator needs to be replaced as it charges the battery when you drive, low voltage may cause the buzzing, tellin gyou there is a problem.

This is a very easy fix. Your cable box is not grounded correctly. To fix this you need a AC Plug adapter. This will change your TV ac plug from a 3 wire to a 2 wire. This may sound funny, but trust me on this. I have fix a lot of TV in NY doing just this.24001fc.jpg
